Journey 2: The Mysterious Island's director, Brad Peyton, has been hired by Warner Bros. to direct the live-action adaptation of Lobo along with rewriting the script.
Originally, Warner Bros. had Guy Ritchie to do the directing for Lobo, but he left in order to direct Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. As for the original script, the writer for Thor, Don Payne, had it all set up but now Peyton will be in charge of redoing it.
The original script had Lobo following four fugitives to Earth which eventually caused him to team up with a teenage girl in order to capture the fugitives.
