You might want to change your calendar today for Kevin Levine has announced that Bioshock infinite will not be coming out this year.

Instead of its expected October 16th release date, Irrational Games has pushed it further back to February 26, 2013. Levine explained the games delay in a letter to the public.
“We have come to realize that some specific tweaks and improvements will make Infinite into something even more extraordinary and that the delay will give the development team the time they need.”
Irrational is very well known for perfection as the first Bioshock had a big delay like this as well. In the mean time, you now have more time to play some DLC and some other future releases like Boderlands 2 before Infinite comes out.
