Star Wars: The Old Republic Loses 400,000 Subscribers

May 7, 2012

Things aren't looking good for BioWare and EA as they have announced that they have lost 400,000 subscribers for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

During a conference today, EA announced that they went from 1.7 million subscribers to 1.3 million. EA states that the loss of players is due to casual and trial players just dropping from the game.

That isn't all that EA talking about for Star Wars: The Old Republic, we also got some more information on the 1.3 update, which might be going by the name "Allies". The Allies Update will include a dungeon finder, expand the legacy and include a new raid along with other things. There is no exact release date for the update but it is expected to be out sometime before the end of June.
