Oh Look, Another Resident Evil Movie

I thought this was already well known, but apparently up until recently it wasn't official. There will be a fifth Resident Evil movie, titled "Resident Evil: Retribution". That itself isn't the news so much as in some sort of startling casting decision *coughsarcasmcough* Milla Jovovich is reprising her role as Alice.

Evidently they are also casing Barry Burton and Leon Kennedy, as well as recasting Jill Valentine. As long as Barry has some very obvious things to point out (or bad puns to make) I'll be happy about his inclusion.

Now, on a personal note, I'm actually one of those sick individuals that gets semi-excited about the series. I admit that I don't think any of them are actually good after the second film, but I find them to be entertaining mindless action flicks. And I also stand by my opinion that they would actually be better, maybe even good films if they weren't using a pre-existing video game property.

That said, the movie is scheduled to start filming in October of this year and is tentatively scheduled to be on the big screen in November of 2012.
