The Dreamcast era were dark days for Sega. Its poor functionality, awful advertising and bad timing of release nearly bankrupted them and forced them to become a third-party company. However there was one redeeming quality, the Sonic Adventure series.
As a huge Sonic fan the Adventure series were some of the funnest games I played as a youth. From running loop-de-loops, fighting the biolizard boss as Shadow and raising chao, who didn't love chao?
For the upcoming Sonic Generations, Sega revealed the three dreamcast era (sorta) stages that our favorite blue hedgehogs will be returning to. Speed Highway (SA1), City Escape (SA2) and Seaside Hill/Ocean Palace (Sonic Heroes) will be in Sonic's latest adventure. Just want to make a quick note that Heroes was never released for the Dreamcast but for the Xbox, PS2 and GCN, way after the consoles demise. Enjoy!
We also get to see a look at Sonic's doppelganger rival, Shadow the Hedgehog who made his first appearance in Sonic Adventure 2. So far his role in the games story is unknown but there's a chance he is working with Dr. Eggman, but why?
