Marvel is in final negotiations in order to snag Guy Pearce to appear in Iron Man 3 in order to play Aldrich Killian. Don't know who Killian is? I'll explain in a bit.
Shane Black, the director of Iron Man 3, is basing the movie around the Extremis story arc. Killian is an employee at Futurepharm who helped create the Extremis virus, which was suppose to be a recreated Super Soldier Serum, then stole it and sold it to the highest bidder which was then injected into a criminal, Mallen. Mallen was then mutated and was given superhuman powers.
Iron Man 3 will begin filming next month in North Carolina, from there filming will continue in China in order to get ready for its May 3, 2013 release date.
