Here's an update about the PSN suspense, it seems like that Sony is temporarily shutting PSN/Qriocity down, but no one is sure when it will be brought back up. What they are doing is rebuilding the whole system, they're reprogramming their whole network, so that's going to be quite a down time for the PSN. The senior director of Sony's communications and social media, Patrick Seybold, states:
"We sincerely regret that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been suspended, and we are working around the clock to bring them both back online. Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure. Though this task is time-consuming, we decided it was worth the time necessary to provide the system with additional security. We thank you for your patience to date and ask for a little more while we move towards completion of this project. We will continue to give you updates as they become available."
If you guys have any DLC or games you wanted to purchase online via your PS3, well, looks like you're out of luck. And I haven't updated my copy MvC3, and I was planning on doing it today also. But this will probably effect Sony in some great way.
Hopefully the new security will work and keep the troublesome hackers who started all of this away. Maybe they will even bring a new GUI to the table while they're working on the new PSN, that would be pretty neat. I just hope there won't be too many bugs right after it is finally released.
