Two years and four million users later, the hit and well known Mincecraft has finally gone gold, meaning that it will finally be out of it's beta stage and be a final and complete game starting this Friday.
Earlier today, Markus Persson posted on Twitter saying, "So, yes, Minecraft has gone gold. :D"
Minecraft was first released to the public on May 19, 2009 and has gone through many many updates due to players giving Markus Persson, the creator, and his development team, Majong, major feedback.
Mark Persson will be holding an event at the now sold out MinecraftCon in Las Vegas this Friday for the release of Minecraft.
For those that want Minecraft on the Xbox 360, Majong will be released a full Xbox 360 edition for Live next year.
