Have a copy of Twilight or any other related book written by Stephanie Meyer that you want to get rid of? Or possibly someone has a Twilight related book in your household and you want it out. IDW Publishing will take those books from you, and in return, they will give you a free copy of 30 Days of Night. In this fight against sparkling vampires, Steve Niles states this about "Sparkles for Blood":
"Real horror fans have watched vampires systematically turned into wimpy fodder for years now. It's time to fight back" said Niles. "I'm happy to be working with IDW on the Sparkles for Blood event. Hopefully, working together we can put an end to this nightmare."
Chris Ryall, IDW's chief creative officer has encouraging words about "Sparkles of Blood":
"Recently, vampires in pop culture have started to swing back to the romanticized vamps of other literature and films before 30 Days of Night. In some cases, they're even being treated more as chaste immortal teenagers than as the murderous creatures that they are. 'Sparkles for Blood' will remind everyone that vampires are creatures of the night, not of the twilight."
This spectacular "Sparkles for Blood" event will take hold at IDW's booth at San Diego Comic Con.
Thanks for the tip from my friend, Kyle. I give IDW props for this grand spectacle and hope this makes a difference against the horrible vampire fad going around.
