A new video for Voilition's upcoming criminal video game Saints Row the Third has just been revealed at comic-con today!
The video shows the Protagonist and his top men/women Johnny Gat and Shaundi, held hostage in the private jet of the criminal master-mind and leader of the Syndicate, Phillipe Loren. Loren offers the Saint to merge with his company for a small profit, however, the Saints refuse to kneel over and they exit with a bang.
The mission starts off with you and Shaundi fighting off some morning star thugs with some slick hand-to-hand combat using command prompts to execute some flashy kicks and punches to your victims. The battle ensues in the jet's hanger as you take henchmen as meat-shields shooting your way to freedom.
But it's not over yet; some turbulence knocks you and Shaundi out of the plane causing you two to free-fall miles above ground. Grabbing a parachute off a corpse, you heroically dive down to rescue your team mate as you shoot your way through more morning star and avoid getting hit by falling debris.
When you finally catch Shaundi, the two enjoy a quiet moment when the protagonist notices the plane is making a 180 to ram the two. You drop Shaundi to fall as you face the jet head-on, crashing though the cock-pits window shooting your way through more thugs and grabbing one more parachute to rescue Shaundi once more after a couple more fire fights in the air, and the mission ends.
It seems every time they release more info/footage of this game, the more excited I get. The mission has a more cinematic and action-packed feeling than any mission from the first two Saints Row. Strap it on November 15 later this year, when I release my review of this game.
