Were only one month away from Gears of War 3 so epic released this new trailer featuring the new and updated horde mode.
Gears of War 2 was responsible for bringing this revolutionary co-op mode with horde. You and four friends get stranded on one of the multiplayer maps fighting off wave after wave of locust that grow stronger with each one, backed up by only your wits, teamwork and weapons. Many video games imitated this formula from Halo's firefight mode and Call of Duty's zombies.
For those who missed the coverage of Gears at E3, Horde 2.0 uses a new point system as currency to buy weapons, ammo and fortifications to increase your survival rate against the horde. But that's not all they added. Random challenges will be given during each round to gain additional points and after each 5 waves, a "boss battle" will start ranging from a swarm or reavers to even fighting a brumak on foot.
Were gonna need a bigger boat...
