Major Nelson, Microsoft's PR blogger for Xbox live might of just made a boo-boo. Today he posted on his blog (below) on upcoming activities for the Xbox booth at PAX and possibly spilled the beans on Sega's big announcement.
"Xbox 360 Booth #432
Mass Effect 3 has landed… in the Xbox 360 booth! Come on by to check it out, along with a slew of Xbox LIVE Arcade titles: Trials Evolution, Skulls of the Shogun, Crimson Alliance, Splatters, Orcs Must Die, Ms. Splosion Man, Retro City Rampage, Sonic CD, War of the Worlds and Trine 2."
This would be a huge announcement for them considering this game hardly ever gets re-released despite this being a favorite amongst old-time sonic fans. (myself included)
While no word has been said about it coming to the Playstation Network, it should be safe to say we'll know when Sega makes the actual announcement at PAX. (most likely it will)
UPDATE:
Today Sega has just confirmed that Sonic CD will not only be released on Xbox Live, but will also be available on Playstation Network, Ipod, Ipod Touch, Ipad, Windows PC, Android and Windows phone.
No official release date has been announced but Sega is planning to release it later 2011
