If you haven't noticed, Steam is having their annual Summer Sales that started June 30th and will go until July 10th. Each day, until the end date, different games will be on sale; along with 8 daily featured games, there are Publisher Packs that are amazingly priced for what they are worth.
The sales aren't the only things that's causing all the noise on Steam, you can also win prices by playing selected games to earn special Steam Summer Camp Steam Achievements; by achieving each achievement, you will earn a Prize Ticket. With the Prize Tickets, you can then redeem them for a number of prizes (map packs, gear, or missions). The games that need to be played will change daily by the looks of it.
Along with Steam Sales and Prize Tickets, Mann Co. is also having a sale with some items costing less than 99 cents. But that's not the only thing the Mann Co. Store is offering, earlier today Valve has released the keys for the recent Summer Cooler Crates. along with what the new crates hole - Summer Items! I'm not too impressed with the new items, the only one I would really want is the Rogue's Col Roule, and I don't even play Spy.
