Marvel Heroes seems like it's going to be intense graphics wise despite it being a free-to-play MMO, considering it's just been announced that the game will be using Epic's Unreal Engine 3.

Graphics aren't everything though, we still don't know how the gameplay is but at least we know that the heroes and areas of Marvel are going to look pretty damn awesome.

It was announced today by Epic Games that Square Enix will be using the Unreal Engine 3 in order to develop multiple planned games.

“It is a pleasure to provide Square Enix with an exceptional game engine that will help them bring thrilling new experiences to legions of fans all over the world,” said Taka Kawasaki, territory manager of Epic Games Japan. “Many Western games have achieved great success with the Unreal Engine, and this milestone reflects the Japanese development community’s trust in our technical prowess."

No one knows what the game projects will be, but Epic has said that Square Enix will be announcing what they are planning at a later date.

The Unreal Engine 3 is one of the most beautiful game engine when it comes to look when compared to other engines, and how amazing would it be to see graphics like Unreal Tournament 3, Gears of War 3 or Arkham Asylum and City on your web browser? Well know it's possible with the new version of Flash - Flash 11.

Epic Games has been working on their ever-so-popular engine in order to bring their graphics straight to our web browsers, which means that we will most likely be getting ported games such as Unreal Tournament 3 in say the gaming section of Facebook. I'm not saying Facebook will be hosting games that use the Unreal Engine, I'm just throwing out an example here.
