Cartoon Network, Transformers and Captain Planet are all related in a planned upcoming movie. Cartoon Network is teaming up with Transformers producer, Don Murphy, to make a Captain Planet movie.
Captain Planet, the green-haired environmentalist, was created by Ted Turner - who also owns Cartoon Network - and will be revived under his watch. Stuart Sydney, president of Turner Broadcasting System has this to say about the reviving hero:
“The messages of Captain Planet are even more relevant today.We feel this team can bring the world’s first eco-hero to life in a powerful motion picture that is not only pertinent but entertaining.”
Will a Captain Planet movie even be good? I just can't even picture a live action version at all; I guess I won't judge until we see some screenshots or trailers at least. If you don't know who Captain Planet is, then you either hate trees or you just weren't around for his heroism. Here's a video for you so you'll know, or for others to remember.
