James Badge Dale (The Departed, Rubicon) has been signed up to play Eric Savin in Iron man 3, who will be playing the main villain for the movie.
Eric Savin, aka Coldblood-7 (his villain name in the comics) was first introduced in Marvel Comics Presents #26 in 1989. Savin was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army until he stepped on a land mine which obviously caused him to die. Shortly afterwards Savin was resurrected as a Cyborg under the Ultra-Tech project. From there Coldblood then became a mercenary where he took on jobs with his superhuman strength, speed, stamina and durability with enhanced sensory implants. Coldblood has been known to connect himself to any computer system.
It is not known whether or not if Dale's character will become Coldblood in Iron Man 3 or if he will just stay as Eric Savin throughout the movie.
