Gotham City Impostors get a release date and a Beta

The official release date of the downloadable non-batman FPS shooter was announced today as well as an extra treat for you fans anticipating the game.

Warner Bros has confirmed that the game will be available on January 10th of next year, however for those who want a taste of the madness can sign up for the beta on Xbox Live or Playstation Network now which will be launched this december. Baman sure might not use shotuns, pistols and rocket launchers, but these Batman imposters sure have no problem doing so, which is shown in this new trailer for Gotham City Imposters.

Gotham City Imposters is a multiplayer FPS that will be coming out next winter on all platforms, except for the Wii, and will be downloadable for $14 or 1,200 Microsoft Points.

Gotham City Impostor

Batman and Joker is at it again, well, it's not really Batman and it's not really Joker. Instead it is the wannabe Batmen against the wannabe Jokers. Lame, right? No, it does not sound lame at all, instead it sounds freakin amazing.

What Gotham City Impostor is all about is that you either side with the Bats or the Jokerz and fight each other with guns, gadgets, rocket launchers and comedy style bombs. Monolith Production (who have done F.E.A.R. and Condemned) will be making this game a first person shooter along with customizable characters and gizmos. Yes, yes, everyone knows that Batman never uses a gun, but don't worry...you're not really THE Batman, so it's all good.

Gotham City Impostor will be downloadable for XBLA, PSN and PC in the near future. I've been looking for a new multiplayer FPS for awhile and I believe that this will satisfy my needs quit a bit.
