October 31, 2011 0 comments

In this day of age old games are being remade to be on par with today's graphics, which is why 343 Industries is remaking Halo: Combat Evolved in an HD format.

I enjoyed the first Halo, the other ones, not so much, besides Halo: Reach of course. I might get the HD remake of Combat Evolved after it's release date od November 15, just so I can get it used or wait till it drops down in price, because there is no way I'm spending $60 on a remake.

Headlong returns for Halo Anniversary

September 14, 2011 0 comments

Halo 2 fans rejoice! The fan favorite multiplayer map Headlong will be returning in the Halo CE Anniversary. 343 Industries has made the announcement at the Tokyo Game Show. Weird since Japan has already killed off the 360 in their own country. (Fools)

The map feature updated visuals, new weapon spawns and will also be retitled as Breakneck. The rest however shall remain the same. Meaning you can recreate your favorite moments back in the good old days of Halo 2.

343 has also decided to showcase a demo of "Pillar of Autumn" the first campaign mission from Halo Combat Evolved. While also announcing the balancing of armor abilities in multiplayer as well as bringing back the Uber, overpowered Magnum from Halo 1 as well. I can't wait.

The open beta for the Anniversary multiplayer will begin October 4th.

Halo Anniversary Edition's new graphic hot-swap

343 Industries want's to make Halo fans feel at home with the release of the Combat Evolved Anniversary edition by giving you the option to choose the graphics.

With a simple push of a button you can seamlessly switch between the new-generation graphics with the original Combat Evolved graphics at any place and anytime throughout the campaign with out going to a checkpoint or restarting at all. Absolutely Brilliant!

343 Ind. want's to make you feel like your playing Halo, just like the way you did ten years ago so the controller scheme is the exact same as it was in the original and the enemy AI is also unchanged. However, they do want to take advantage of the new-generation features. Co-Op has been included to add fun to your Halo experience.

So far 343 is doing well taking care of the Halo franchise which makes me feel safe with thier development of Halo 4. Relive the game that forever changed the FPS genre November 15th, 2011.

343Industries has released a commentary demo of the Silent Cartographer level for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. This new version of Halo is pretty impressive with it running portions of two different engines at the same time along with switching the graphics with a push of a button.

More information will be available at Halo Fest at the end of August.

Get Armor And A Skull, Just For Pre Ordering Halo

July 18, 2011 0 comments

If you're interested in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, there's now motivation for you to preorder it. For putting down money on it, you can get a spiffy Mjolnir assault armor for your avatar along with a "Grunt Funeral" Skull. This skull ensures a hilarious experience when chaining attacks on Grunts.

Expect Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to hit shelves on November 15 for just $39.99. Not $59.99, but $39.99, I'm surprised that it's only going to cost that much considering every other game costs an arm and a leg.
