Bioware Hint's at Upcoming DLC for Mass Effect?

September 17, 2012 0 comments

This weekend at the Montreal Comic Con, Bioware teased fans with an image at the end of their panel the looked like Commander Shepard staring at some red holographic-image.

The developer has yet to announce what it means but most fans speculate that is has something to do with Omega, the squalid space-station that you visited in Mass Effect 2. The station was involved in the Mass Effect Comic, Ascension that reveals how Aria T'loak lost Omega to Cerberus. This comic was given to free for people who got the N7 collector's edition of the game. And if you played Mass Effect 3 (with a ME2 save file) You remember that Aria is trapped on the Citadel and is planning to retake her beloved Omega. For right now, Bioware is content keeping us in the dark.

I would like to take the time to say that I'm sorry for a lack of posts in the previous months from me. I've had plans to keep up to date and even do a review of Dawnguard but between work and starting School things just fell apart with the blog. But now I'm hoping to at least update once a week for you guys. I also will be doing a review of Darksiders 2 and Minecraft (xbox 360 version) sometime in the near fututre so keep reading!

At the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary celebration, Kojima Productions revealed the new installment to the Metal Gear Solid Series, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros. The trailer shows off just how well the Fox Engine is this time around, and amazed people world wide with it's cinematic trailer.

Kojima made it clear that this is not a Metal Gear Solid 5. This is not a continuation of Metal Gear Solid 4.

“We’re not going to say that it’s Metal Gear Solid 5,” Kojima said earlier this week, “but it is a prologue.”

Rumors are out saying that Ground Zeros will be out for PS3, possibly in 2013.

Pokémon Black and White 2 Breeding System Changes

It seems like the breeding mechanics for Pokémon Black and White 2 have changed from the normal breeding. The new system now allows you to easily give your Pokémon a nature that will normally take you quite some time to get.
  • Each Pokémon has a single pre-designated ability
  • There’s no way of changing what this is
  • Some Pokémon are capable of having one of two pre-designated abilities
  • The ability is chosen at random when you encounter the Pokémon in the wild
  • During breeding, the baby Pokémon’s ability is now dependent on its mother
  • If the mother is a dual-ability type, the baby has an 80% chance of inheriting that ability
  • This gives the baby a 20% chance of inheriting the other ability that the mother doesn’t have
  • You can now 100% guarantee that your Pokémon will inherit a nature from one of its parents
  • To do this, give one of the parents an Everstone to hold

Now is the time to get your hands on a 3DS XL as Frys is having a sale on them for $20 cheaper than its original price. At other places, the 3DS XL will cost you $199.99, but at Frys it is $179.99. It isn't a big difference but it is still a good enough deal for those who are tight on money. Frys has made sure that not one person can horde so many of the handhelds as there is a 1 per household limit.

The Wolverine Not Connected To X-men Origins

August 13, 2012 0 comments

Critics and fans see X-Men Origins: Wolverine as a joke and do not take it seriously. That is why the new and upcoming Wolverine movie will not mention nor will it have any connection to X-Men Origins.

The news comes from Hugh Jackman himself during and interview with Total Film. “We’ve deliberately not called it Wolverine 2 because we want it to be placed and feel like a standalone picture,”says Jackman. “With an all-new cast and setting it in Japan, it’s going to give us a whole new visual aesthetic.”

Jackman continues to say that The Wolverine will focus completely on Wolverine and will not have a big cast of other mutants.

The Wolverine is expected to be out in theatres on July 26, 2013.

Day One Of Mann vs. Machine Update

The Mann vs Machine Update is finally heading its way to Team Fortress 2 with multiple updates and new information released everyday. Day One for the Mann vs Machine Update includes a new trailer in which Blu and Red will be working together to take down a common enemy - the Machines.

Along with the trailer is a new TF2 mode for players to enjoy, a co-op mode. The new co-op mode will allow you and five friends to stand against hordes of robots. The robots you will be going against will also be sporting different weapons, for example, the Bowman is a Sniper robot with Huntsman and a Minor League Scout is a Scout with Sandman. But those are just foot soldiers as there will be different types of robots; there is a bomb carrier robot in which players will need to destroy quickly, the bomb carrier will have a defensive buff, health regeneration and full crits all the time. There are also Giants which are just giant version of the foot soldier robots. And then there are Sentry Busters which are giant walking bombs that goes straight for sentries.

Of course this co-op mode is going to need a new map, so Valve has introduced Mannworks. not much information has been given about the map except that it is where the co-op mode will take place.

To see the Mann vs Machine update, which should be out this Wednesday, check out the Team Fortress 2 website.

Leviathan Will Change Mass Effect 3's Ending (Hinting at new DLC)

August 9, 2012 0 comments

If you weren't satisfied with Extended Cut ending, then maybe getting the new single-player expansion Leviathan will tickle your fancy. Bioware has confirmed that the DLC will have an impact on the games ending. It is not clear how much and how big this change will be but they're most likely keeping it under wraps for us to figure out.

Leviathan is scheduled to be released later this summer, most possibly by the end of August or the beginning of September.

If you've played Mass Effect 2 then I'm sure you remember Aria, the self-proclaimed ruler of Omega. In ME3 she has become stranded on the Citadel after having Omega taken away from her by the Illusive Man and Cerberus and asked you to rally three of Omega's biggest Mercenary Groups under Aria's banner to one day retake her station.

Some code in the game was found that reveals Aria dialogue that hint's at a mission to retake Omega from Cerberus. However if you already played through Mass Effect 3, the you probably already knew that Bioware had plans for DLC around this story anyway.
