Tali Unmasked Causing Tons Of Hatred [Spoiler]

March 7, 2012 9 comments

It seems like BioWare is getting some hate over what Tali looks like unmasked considering all BioWare did was get a picture from a photographer and barely editing it.

Seeing Tali's revealed face requires you to go to your cabin and look at a picture of her, which is just a photo from Getty Images taken by Metthew Leete in which BioWare edited the picture a bit.

This is apparently enraging tons of Mass Effect fans as they are saying this is just lazy work and a ridiculous look for Tali and her people. Take a look at the picture below and tell me what you think.

Chronicle Director Possibly Taking On Venom Movie

It seems like Sony is finally moving forward with their Spider-Man spinoff movie - Venom.

Being talked about since 2008, Sony is planning to revive the Venom movie, but with some new additions and some greatly needed cuts.

Chronicle director, Josh Tank, is rumored to be the one who will direct Venom; luckily he won't be directing Topher Grace for he will not be returning as the role of Eddie Brock/Venom. Also, there will be new writers working on the script.

Venom will supposedly focus around venom becoming an anti-hero and saving innocent lives instead of digesting them.

Along with the Legacy system, this update will bring a new Flashpoint that features Rakghouls, a new Operation and a brand new Warzone. But that's not all that's new, there are tons of new features like mini pets!

This update will surely bring us new features for The Old Republic; to see them all, check out the trailer below. The only downside about the update is that we have to wait over a month since it will be released on April 20,2012.

Custom Shepards Not Importing Correctly In Mass Effect 3

BioWare has had a big long with Mass Effect 3 yesterday, with that a big problem has surfaced.

Reports on the BioWare forums are stating that players are having problems with their copies of Mass Effect 3 not being able to import custom Shepards from Mass Effect 2, don't worry though, BioWare is trying to figure out a solution.

BioWare's Community Coordinator, Chris Priestly, has stated on the forums that BioWare is aware of the problem and is currently trying to fix that. He has also linked players to a fan made tool that might be able to fix the problem for PC users.

    Marvel Ends Partnership With Sega

Marvel and Sega are officially over as Marvel has cut their partnership entirely.

Sega has made recent comic book movie to video games such as Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Super Soldier and Thor: God of Thunder.

There is not a for sure answer for why Marvel cut their ties with Sega, but it could be due to the fact that the games did not sell very well.

My Thoughts On Mass Effect 3 So Far

    March 6, 2012 0 comments

As everyone knows, Mass Effect 3 has finally come out and people everywhere are talking about it and now I finally have the change to talk about it! Be warned though, there will be spoilers.

As you know, Mass Effect 3 takes place around Shepard once again collecting a team of humans and aliens that are crazy enough to take on the Reapers who have invaded and are obliterating Earth. Shepard and his team will stand against the Reapers to protect all species that are threatened by these sentient machines.

So far, Mass Effect 3 has a different feel from its predecessors; there are new game features that includes weapon upgrading, a skill tree and other fine stuff. The controls are still the same as Mass Effect 2, along with the combat system, but there is a new addition to the game - a heavy melee attack; all it is is a melee attack that does more damage.

A new addition to the Mass Effect series is the weapon upgrading system, which also allows Shepard to use any weapon he wants; if you are a Vanguard you no longer have to confine yourself to submachine guns, pistols and shotguns, you can now use sniper rifles and assault rifles! Anyways, the weapon upgrading system allows you to add mods to your weapons like in the original Mass Effect that gives special bonuses. To go along with the new system, BioWare has also implicated another one - a carrying limit capacity, so far I haven't reached a limit, usually I hate it when games have carrying capacities as I tend to always have a lot of crap.

You can now have all five weapon loadouts in Mass Effect 3

BioWare has also changed the way you level up your abilities are leveling up, it's now in the form of a mini skill tree. Another small change is the map, the map now indicates when there is someone who wants to talk to you.

So far the story is straight forward, Reapers attack Earth, Shepard goes to recruit Liara who has blueprints for a Prothean device that can destroy the Reapers. the Illusive Man also has plans, Shepard asks help from the Council on the Citadel, Council denies help, the Turian Council members offers help. So far that's where I'm at in the game and so far I have no complaints about the game, except for one thing though.

The graphics are really nice, not impressive, but really good. Too bad the animation isn't as nice. Just like the other two Mass Effect games, the movements of the characters are awkward which allows heads to go through clothes or hands go into stomachs. I was hoping that that would be fixed in this installment, but unfortunately it hasn't.

Now if you don't mind me, I'm going to go back to saving Earth and punching news reporters. Enjoy this picture of a head being blown up while I'm away.

    FemSheperd Gets Her Own Trailer

    March 5, 2012 0 comments

A new Take Earth Back trailer has been released today, at first you might think that this is just the first cinematic trailer for Mass Effect 3, but you're wrong! This trailer isn't only new, but it also features FemSheperd.

Comic-Con Tickets Sold Out Within First Hour And A Half

If you're planning on going to Comic-Con International this year and haven't bought a ticket yet, well don't plan on getting one anytime soon since tickets sold out an hour and a half since they went on sale.

Tickets for Comic-Con International in San Diego went on sale at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and within the first hour and a half, all single-day and four-day badges were sold out; this year marks a record compared to last year's tickets being sold out within seven hours.

Things didn't go smoothly for everyone though, apparently subscribers were e-mailed a link to buy the tickets, but the links were not clickable, so people were forced to copy and paste the link into their browser which really does cost precious time when trying to buy Comic-Con tickets.

Comic-Con International will be held in San Diego on July 12-15.

New screenshots for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been released today showing off what might be a new map.

I don't recognize the house at all so it's either a new map or an old map that's been redone so well that I can't recognize it at all.

Hope you guys are ready for this, Ubisoft has now released the debut trailer for Assassin's Creed III Here it is!

Lets list down some things the trailer can indicate about possible game systems and other info:
    - Our Assassin has a name: Connor (an American name he adopted)
    - You can now climb and free run on trees
-Animals could play a role in the game
-The man at the end is most likely George Washington
-The game will be using a whole new engine
-Night time will play a bigger role in stealth gameplay

Ubisoft is being a little coy with info right now, but you can learn a lot more about the game in the upcoming issue of Gameinformer. I need to reserve my copy when I pick up Mass Effect tonight.
