August 2, 2012 0 comments

Assassins Creed III looks absolutely stunning. What also makes it stand out from it's predecessors is that the game will have dynamic weather changes that will affect how Connor move throughout the environment and can either help or hinder him. And Ubisoft wanted to showcase and talk about their brand new game engine known as Anvilnext.

The trailer also reveals that Connor will not only be killing Redcoats, but American revolutionaries as well. Our new protagonist shows that he doesn't care if You're British or American, he's only out for you if you're a Templar.

Assassins Creed III Trailer and Gameplay Brings New Heights to the Series

June 4, 2012 0 comments

Today has been a major success for Ubisoft, with new footage of Far Cry 3, the new Avengers Game and even announcing their newest title Watch Dogs, the big comapny closes their conference with one of their biggest franchises, Assassins Creed.

Ubisoft first released a brand new trailer of the game, showing the games new Assassin Connor traversing a vast battlefield dodging a flurry of bullets from Redcoats then slaughtering them in a style that puts Ezio and Altair to shame and Finally finishing off the British captain who was also a Templar, the only people Connor seems interested in taking out.

What makes this all more exciting is that you can do all those things in the game itself. Not one but TWO gameplay videos of the new title have been shown at E3 today, one of Connor exploring the new frontier and Assassinating a high ranking Templar and of our new Protagonist commandeering a ship in a full scale naval battle with a system that can change the weather at any moment.

Frontier Gameplay

Naval Warfare Gameplay

So much has been shown from this footage and we've only scratched the surface, Assassin's Creed III will be coming October 36th this year for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Sorry Beiswenger, but theres no way you can kill this game.

Ubisoft Shows Off How Fun Hacking Will Be In Watch Dogs

Imagine a world where an entire city is run by a computer which is run by giant companies, and while that computer is running the city, it is also running your life by monitoring your every thought and movement. Well that's what Ubisoft's new game Watch Dogs is based around.

In  the Watch Dogs gameplay demo, you play as a character who hacks into the Central Operating System (the computer that runs cities) and controls an entire city where everything is basically hackable. The main character's motives aren't exactly known, but it seems like he's targeting someone in order to expose them for something.

The trailer does a switch though as you then start to play as another character who is to protect the main character now.

Here is the trailer for Watch Dogs and the gameplay demo.

Ubisoft Bringing Gory Zombie Game For Wii U (Video)

Ubisoft announced a new game they have planned for the Wii U during their press conference that is for more of a mature audience, considering it deals with flesh eating zombies.

ZombiU seems to take place in London and takes place during a zombie attack. Not much is known about the game besides that it is exclusively for the Wii U.

ZombiU gives us a good look at how the graphics will look on the Wii U when used properly.

Far Cry 3 Gameplay Demo Footage

Ubisoft kicked off their E3 Press Conference today with a dance number with rapper Flo Rida for the upcoming Just Dance 4. But after that that's when things got interesting with Far Cry 3.

The trailer for Far Cry 3 sure is a memorable one as the trailer starts off with a topless girl on top of the main character, who is hunting the main villain - Vaas. The gameplay demo has the main character, Jason Brody, stabbing bad guys and shooting them with a bow and arrow as he's lured into a trap that includes a burning building. Jason then high tales it out of there running and gunning whoever is in his way.

The footage then gets a bit psychedelic with TV screens and what looks like memories from the Jason.

Ubisoft has plans for releasing more information for Far Cry 3 later this week.

[A trailer will be released once its online.]

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is expected to be out for the Xbox 260 in Spring 2013.

[I will post the trailer once it is released online.]

Ubisoft Now Going After John Beiswenger

June 1, 2012 1 comments

Ubisoft is no longer facing charges from author John Beiswenger, instead they are turning the tables right back at him and filing a complaint against Beiswenger.

Because Beiswenger ended the lawsuit without prejudice and was able to bring up the lawsuit again whenever he pleased, he was able to give Ubisoft the grounds to go right back at him claiming that Beiswenger's claims were "entirely meritless"

"The plaintiff in the case alleging copyright infringement by Ubisoft has dropped his claim, without settlement," states a Ubisoft representative. "Ubisoft believes this suit was frivolous and without merit, and is seeking a ruling to prevent future related claims. We are proud of our creative teams and will continue to vigorously defend the intellectual property they develop."

Ubisoft is fighting Beiswenger so he will no longer be able to try and file a complaint against Ubisoft ever again.

Ubisoft No Longer Being Sued

May 30, 2012 0 comments

Last month Ubisoft was sued by author John Beiswenger claiming that the video game developers took ideas from his book Link. Now Beiswenger is dropping the lawsuit against Ubisoft.

In Link, the story is based around a "device and process whereby ancestral memories can be accessed, recalled, relived, and re-experienced by the user." (Just like Assassin's Creed's Animus device.). The similarities don't end there though, the book has assassinations and historical events in which the user experiences due to what the ancestor has been through.

It is currently unknown why the author backed down from the lawsuit, but if he wanted to he could go straight back at Insomniac with the same claims. Beiswenger's lawyer, Kelly Clements Keller states that, "My client’s decision to exercise his right to voluntarily dismiss the action, without prejudice, in no way diminishes his stalwart conviction in the merit of his claims against Ubisoft. He is unwavering in his belief that many key components of the Assassin’s Creed video game franchise infringe on many key components of his novel, Link. We believe Ubisoft has engaged in egregious acts of copyright infringement and, should he choose to seek redress through the courts in the future, we remain confident that a trier of fact would agree.”

For now Assassin's Creed III is saved and won't be cancelled.

Avengers: Battle For Earth Might Be A New Avengers Game

May 5, 2012 0 comments

Apparently an Avenger related game might be coming out eventually and it will be called Avengers: Battle for Earth.

According to Domain Tools, Marvel has registered the domain name AvengersBattleForEarth.com a day before the released of The Avengers in theatres while Ubisoft is listed in the domain servers. Whatever this is, both marvel and Ubisoft are teaming up to obviously create something Avengers related.Maybe it might be the cancelled Avengers game THQ was working on, if only.
