It's been a rough year for Nintendo so far, with low sale numbers for the DS and Wii, the failed launch of their 3DS and preparing for their new WiiU, Nintendo has reported to have lost 25.5 Billion yen. ($330 Million U.S. Dollars)
This turn of events caused the publisher to change their income predictions 110 million yen to 20 million, A huge difference from last years income, over 77 million yen.
However, they have high hopes for the 3DS this holiday season, which will have bigger releases including: LoZ: Ocarina of Time 3DS, Mario Kart 7, Star Fox 3DS, Super Mario 3D land, and Skyward Sword.
This is what happens when you shift your market to non-gamers. You Impress them with stuff like Wii fit and other crap, and eventually they stop buying and put their Wii in the closet to collect dust. I hope you learned that lesson well Nintendo.
Eesh, poor Nintendo. And the former owner of Nintendo also lost half a billion dollars in just one day
