EA Awarded as "Worst Company in America"

April 4, 2012

EA has always been known as a shady, but now they have officially been chosen as the worst company in the United States this year.

The website Consumerist held a tournament styled survey where you could vote for the lowest of the low in all companies in America. Competing with Banks, cigarette companies and other money grubbing corporations, Electronic Arts has beaten them all, a video game publisher who's supposed to bring fun and joy to people.

But that's not surprising after their sordid history of Not paying college football stars for the use of their image in the NCAA series, forcing players to not sue them through a mandatory online update and even starting the online pass craze that other companies have been copying to get more money. And lets not forget the whole first day DLC snafu with Mass Effect 3.

Even South Park's Creators took notice to their acts of infamy

Other companies like RIAA, Countrywide Financial, AIG, Comcast, and BP were awarded Consumerist's "Worst Company in America" and I'm sure they welcome EA amongst the ranks of the worst of the worst.
