Zelda Comes Out On The iPod, But It's Not Made By Nintendo

October 12, 2011 0 comments

Ripping off other people's ideas has been happening since the dawn of time and Nintendo's games aren't safe against those people and it easily shows in Ultimate iZelda Climb made by Scott Avy.

Ultimate iZelda Crimb is the most obviously knock-off game every created. First, the main menu's picture comes from Kevin Keel's "Hey! Listen! Hey!" artwork and the Zelda you control was completely taken from Wind Waker. Scott Avy is also known for making other rip-offs like Call of Duty, Hello Kitty and World of Warcraft. It would be understandable if this was made for fun and made free for everyone, but this guy is actually selling his app for $0.99, so he's making money while ripping other games off.

If you still don't believe me, then take a gander at these screenshots from Ultimate iZelda Climb.

Once this gets Nintendo's attention, then I'm sure they'll demand that Apple takes the app down. I'm just surprised that Apple let this slide since they have to review the apps.

Steve Jobs passes away

A true icon died today. Steve Jobs, co-founder of apple and designer of the iphone and Macbook pro passed away earlier today at the Age of 56.

1955 - 2011

Two months ago Steve resigned as CEO of Apple due to health problems but he hid how bad it truly was. For the last couple of decades Steve has struggled with pancreatic cancer, at first he managed to beat it but it returned several years later, and unfortunately he lost the fight.

While the only Apple product I own is my ipod, I respect Steve Jobs as a businessman and I'm truly saddened by his death. This man has turned the future into now with amazing technology and the world will be less without him.

GameStop Will Buy Your Old iOS Devices

September 6, 2011 0 comments

GameStop is now going mobile when it comes to buying and selling portable iOS devices. GameStop will soon be selling iPhones, iPads and iPods as well as accepting used ones for in-store credit. The exact date for when GameStop will be doing this is unsure at the moment, but speculation is going around saying that it might be at the end of this year.

So make sure you go to GameStop to sell your five hundred dollar iPads for only twenty bucks, I wouldn't be surprised if that's how much GameStop will offer.

Steve Jobs Resigns from Apple

August 24, 2011 0 comments

Today, Steve Jobs announces to the board of directors and the public that he is resigning as CEO of Apple due to his long-term illness.

The Founder of Apple leaves his throne.

And while he no longer wishes to continue running Apple, he would still like to be chairman of the Board of Directors.

Here is the full letter.

Letter from Steve Jobs
CUPERTINO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.

I believe Apple's brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Steve

Later today Tim Cook was officially announced as Job's successor as CEO as Apple and Jobs has been elected as Chairman of the Board.

If Steve Jobs and Bill Gates made a baby...It would be Tim Cook.

What this means for Apple's future is unknown but they'll continue to strive to create advanced computers and other tech to bring us towards the future.

Pokémon Official App

Nintedo and Game Freak will be teaming up for a Pokémon App for both Apple and Android devices. Pokémon Say Tap? BW is the rumored name, quite a weird name if you ask me, but its a timing game that uses music and in-game Pokémon cards. The expected date of release will be this Summer with the price of $0.00, yup, it's free!
