The newest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has been released this weekend, which shows off the Web Rush - a new mechanic to the game that allows the player to slow down time to determine how you're going to take on enemies or complete missions.

Web Rush allows you time to think whether or not you want to take down bad guys in a stealthy way or head on without thinking. The mechanic also allows you to set up strategic advantages against the bosses in the game. Check out what you can do with Web Rush in the trailer below.

November 3, 2011 0 comments

Beenox isn't done with Spider-Man: Edge of Time just yet, the developers of the game are coming out with another costume for players to fight in.

Besides Spider-Man's The Other and his Final costumes, a third costume has been announced the other day. Debuting in What If? Spider-Man Versus Wolverine back in 2008, Spider-Man's "Another Side of Spider-Man" costume will be wearable for players who own Edge of Time for free! All you have to do is go to the Code Unlock section in the game's main menu and put in the code "coldhearted" to receive the new suit.

The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game Trailer

October 15, 2011 0 comments

For those who read the 'Short But Sweet News' section on the right side of the blog, you might have noticed that a video game based off The Amazing Spider-Man is being developed by Beenox. Well thanks to my friends titz, he has shown me that there is also a trailer.

I can careless that this is going to be based off the movie, I'm just glad that it's an open world Spider-Man game; I think I'm just going to spend a majority of the time webbing around just like in Spider-Man 2: The Game.

A Reminder To Spider-Man Edge Of Time

October 3, 2011 0 comments

In order to remind us that Spider-man Edge of Time hits stores tomorrow, Activision has given us one last trailer for the new game featuring two web-slingers from the present and from the future as they show off their fighting skills and techniques.

I really want to play the game for the Anti-Venom, but don't forget to pick up the game tomorrow if you're planning on getting it.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time Comic Con Trailer

July 21, 2011 0 comments

A new trailer has been revealed for Beenox's Spider-Man: Edge of Time during Comic Con. This new trailer shows off both Spider-Men along with Black Cat and Ant-Venom.

Is it bad that this trailer gets me more excited than the The Amazing Spider-Man trailer?

Spider-Man Suffers An Identity Crisis And X-Men Wreaks Havok

If you head over to GameStop and preorder Spider-Man: Edge of Time and X-Men: Destiny, you get some pretty damn snazzy costumes.

Edge of Time offer an extreme unique costume selection for their alternate outfits, it's not Symbiote Spidey or Ben Reilly, it's actually Identity Crisis' costumes. This is why I love Beenox, they are choosing costumes that aren't well known and will be loved by big Spidey fans; Ricochet, Prodigy, Hornet and Dusk will all be wearable, and they look extremely nice.

X-Men Destiny also gets preorder bonuses from GameStop - Havok inspired costumes. Now Grant, Aimi and Adrian can sport the cooler Summers look.

Spider-Man Edge of Time - Updated

June 8, 2011 0 comments

Another trailer came out of E3 the other day, this time it is a trailer for Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

The trailer looks nice and hopefully it will be as good as Shattered Dimensions and that Beenox stays true to the comics (even though I doubt they won't). One thing does concern me though, why is Anti-Venom killing Spider-Man? Eddie Brock is suppose to be turning his life around with Anti-Venom by being a good guy, despite Spider-Man thinking otherwise. I just really want to know how Beenox is going to pull this off.

Spider-Man dying is a good idea for a game since we have never seen anything like that, not that I can remember at least. But the whole aspect of the game sounds like it can be well done; Spider-Man dying, Spider-Man 2099 time traveling to the past to prevent Parker from dying and what not. I have complete faith in Beenox to do a well executed job.

I found out the reason why Anti-Venom is fighting Spider-Man and the reason why he dies; this piece of information is taken from an article on Gameinformer:

"Developer Beenox teamed up with comic book icon Peter David to write the story for Spider-Man: Edge of Time. At the same time, they created a brand new villain, an evil scientist by the name of Walker Sloan. At the beginning of the game, Sloan creates a time portal and travels back in time to kill the Amazing Spider-Man thereby altering the course of history and creating a dystopian future. Only Spider-Man 2099 is aware of the anomaly, so using the time portal to warn the Amazing Spider-Man of his impending doom. The two heroes decide to team up and stop Sloan from creating his own, twisted version of the future.

Choices that the Amazing Spider-Man makes in the past will affect the world of Spider-Man 2099 in the future. Unfortunately, Sloan has implanted a chip inside the head of Anti-Venom, which allows the mad scientist to control the monster. Since Anti-Venom has the power to cure all mutations, he effectively depowers the Amazing Spider-Man in an epic battle inside the Alchemax building. Anti-Venom could be the villain that kills Spider-Man in the past, but we don’t know how Spider-Man 2099’s tinker could effect that past and help Amazing Spider-Man avoid his doom, since Beenox wasn’t willing to show us the end of the battle between to two powerhouses."

So now we know how Beenox is playing Anti-Venom out, and them creating a new villain seems like it can work out, hopefully it will. If Beenox is lucky, maybe Marvel will make Walker Sloan into a new comic villain for Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time Trailer

April 4, 2011 1 comments

A few days after it's announcement, Beenox has thrown out a teaser trailer for us. It still looks good, I want my hands on it. I really like how it's bringing a non well known Spidey as a main character. Usually it's just the 616 Wall Crawler or Ultimat.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time

This fall Beenox, the developers of Shattered Dimensions, and Activision are bringing back Spider-Man in their newest installment. Spider-Man 2099 is also involved in this story. And by the name of the title, we can conclude that Edge of Time will focus on time traveling.

Beenox states that they "Want to create a totally distinct experience in Spider-Man: Edge of Time." So it looks like they are going to spice things up a bit, and hopefully it will be good and not bad.

Either way, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Shattered Dimensions was excellent, and I have high expectations for Edge of Time now.

Beenox: The New Main Spider-Man Developer

January 13, 2011 0 comments

The gaming company, Beenox, has rightfully earned the place to be Spider-Man's primary developer. If you don't know, Beenox is responsible for developing Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Straight from the press release, Beenox is now “the primary developer on upcoming Activision titles featuring Marvel’s famous web-slinger, Spider-Man.”

Congratulations to them, because they did an amazing job with Shattered Dimensions. Each Spider-Man had a different feel and fighting style and I'm excited to play more Spider-Man games from them.  You can tell they put time and effort into it and it easily shows.
