Check Out What Web Rush Is In The New Spider-Man Trailer

May 21, 2012 0 comments

The newest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has been released this weekend, which shows off the Web Rush - a new mechanic to the game that allows the player to slow down time to determine how you're going to take on enemies or complete missions.

Web Rush allows you time to think whether or not you want to take down bad guys in a stealthy way or head on without thinking. The mechanic also allows you to set up strategic advantages against the bosses in the game. Check out what you can do with Web Rush in the trailer below.

Amazing Spider-Man Pre-Order Bonuses

May 9, 2012 0 comments

Beenox and Activision today have revealed the pre-order bonuses that you can receive when you pre-order The Amazing Spider-Man.

Pre-ordering the game from GameStop will land you the Rhino Challenge, which will allow you to play as the Rhino and go around the city destroying everything in your path for points.

If you instead would like to play as Stan "The Man" Lee then you would want to pre-order from Amazon. You will play as Stan Lee as he and Spider-Man try to find lost pages of a script.

The pre-order bonuses are only for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, they will not be for the Wii, 3DS and DS versions of the game.

Black Cat Sneaking Her Way Into The Amazing Spider-Man

May 1, 2012 0 comments

A Spider-Man video game wouldn't be a Spider-Man video game without either Venom or Black Cat making an appearance. So it's no surprise when Activision has announced that Black Vat will be bringing some of her luck in Beenox's upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man video game.

Felicia Hardy, a.k.a. Black Cat, will be going against Spidey along side the Rhino and the Iguana (who I originally thought was a badass version of the Lizard).

For more information of The Amazing Spider-Man's version of Felicia, head over to the game's site to read her bio.

Peter Parker And Miles Morales To Team Up This June

April 11, 2012 0 comments

Peter Park and Miles Morales will be crossing paths this June in a five issue mini series that involves some sort of inter-dimensional problem that causes the Amazing Spider-Man and the Ultimate Spider-Man to meet for the first time.

The news came out when Marvel released an updated teaser image of Spider-Man showing Miles Morales and a new pictures with both Spider-Men swinging around with no masks.

Brian Michael Bendis, who will be writing Spider-Man, also had an interview with New York Daily News.

"For the 50th anniversary of Spider-Man, what everyone was looking for was a Spider-Man story that mattered. Well, here you go," says Bendis. "Someone had once said to me, 'When I was a kid, I could only play Spider-Man, I couldn’t play Batman or Superman because my friends would say you’re not the same color, but I could play Spider-Man because when I fantasized about Spider-Man, he looked like me under the mask,'" Bendis continued. "That was a big inspiration."

Marvel is continuing to tease the next Amazing Spider-Man story arc, Ends of the Earth, with Electro lifting Spider-Man in the air by his throat.

Ends of the Earth focuses on the Sinister Six conjuring a master plan to take over the world, led by the one and only Doc Ock.

Speaking of Doctor Octopus, yesterday another teaser for Ends of the Earth was released that I missed, with this one of Doctor Octopus holding Spider-Man down with his metallic appendages.

Find out what Doc Ock and the Sinister Six are planning in Amazing Spider-Man #682 on March 21, 2012.

Mark Of The Spider-Man Kicks Off With A Treasure Hunt

February 11, 2012 0 comments

Last Wednesday, a Spider-Man viral marketing site made it's appearance for The Amazing Spider-Man. Today more news has surfaced and gives fans a chance to have fun through a treasure hunt.

The Mark of the Spider-Man Twitter feed has been giving out coordinates for different cities all across the US. The coordinates leads people to items that are "Property of Peter Parker". Supposedly these items are set in various comic book stores and SuperHeroHype was able to get their hands on some of the treasure left at a local comic book store.

Mark Of The Spider-Man Is The Amazing Spider-Man's Viral Marketing Ad

February 8, 2012 2 comments

Sorry about not posting as much, I finally was able to gather enough money to get Star Wars: The Old Republic and haven't stopped playing it for awhile, but something has caught my attention and pulled me away from my game for a few minutes.

Thanks to my friend Maurice for showing me this, but someone with clever eyes has spotted something interesting in the latest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. At the time 2:28 in the trailer, there was a hidden phrase saying "Mark of the Spider-Man". That's kind of weird that that text is secretly hidden in the trailer, but it's even more weird that there is now a website called MarkoftheSpider-Man.com that shows six squares with static, as if they are from a security monitor or something like it, and there is also the Spider-Man symbol that is also in the trailer.

Nothing is known at this time about what is going on, but I'm sure we will find out more information as we get closer to the release of The Amazing Spider-Man on July 3.

I think I'm more excited about this new viral ad instead of the actual movie.

New Amazing Spider-Man Trailer Shows New Details

February 7, 2012 0 comments

A new trailer has been released for The Amazing Spider-Man today. Even though it is a little impressive, I still have a hard time believing that the movie is going to be that great; I will say though, that Andrew Garfield does seem like he can play a good Spider-Man. It also seems like the supposed concept art of The Lizard is real considering it resembles The Lizard in the trailer.

The Sinister Six Returns In "Ends Of The Earth"

January 31, 2012 0 comments

Marvel is bringing back the Sinister Six in The Amazing Spider-Man as Marvel released a new teaser image for a new Spider-Man arc titled "Ends of the Earth."

Dan Slott will be working on Spider-Man's new adventure with art by Stefano Caselli. "Ends of the Earth" will start with Amazing Spider-Man #682 and will last for four issues. The Sinister Six returns with Otto Octavius leading them for a global takeover.

"We've seen Doc Ock and the Sinister Six slowly building and percolating this master plan," Slott said. "On the way it's stretched out into the Marvel Universe proper. We've seen Doc Ock totally smack down Iron Man. He totally wiped the floor with Hank Pym's team in 'Avengers Academy.' Over in 'Spider-Man' during an FF team up, Doc Ock pwned Reed Richards! He took over the Baxter Building and stole all kinds of stuff. Doc Ock's been taking out the biggest brains on his stomp to global domination."

Amazing Spider-Man #682 will be on sale on March 21, 2012.

Official Synopsis For The Amazing Spider-Man Released

January 25, 2012 0 comments

The plot behind The Amazing Spider-Man has been a bit of a mystery as Marvel and Columbia Pictures has been keeping a tight lid on it. Well, today Columbia Pictures has finally released the official synopsis even thought it was already quite apparent what the story was going to be about based off of the teaser images.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance — leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters July 3 of this year.

New On Set Photos Of Andrew Garfield And Rhys Ifans

January 20, 2012 0 comments

New images has risen of Andrew Garfield on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man reboot as he is sporting a piece of tissue stuck up his nose stopping what might have been a nose bleed.

There are more photos of Andrew Garfield, but these ones are of him trying his own stunts dressed up in his pre-iconic Spider-Man costume.

Now here he is taking a stroll in his Peter Parker get up.

Let's now turn our attention away from Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and focus on new images of Rhys Ifans portraying Curt Connors who also plays the villain in the movie - The Lizard. Take notice of Connors hand as it is transparent and slimey looking.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theatres on July 3, 2012 with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker and Sally Field as May Parker.
