Hail To The Icons Parody Pack Now Available For Duke Nukem Forever Owners

For those who purchased Duke Nukem Forever, you will be glad to hear that the Hail to the Icons Parody Pack DLC has finally made it's way to be purchased.

The new DLC contains new game modes, such as Freeze Tag, Hail to the King and Hot Potato. That's not all though, when you play the downloadable content, you might notice that the four new maps added are heavily based off of Call of Duty, Halo, Doom and Team Fortress 2.

You can get the DLC on XBL, PSN and PC for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points, but if you're a member of the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club, then you don't need to worry about the price since you get it for free.

For those that don't have the game but for some reason wants it, Steam is having a 50% off sale on Duke Nukem Forever with the final price being $9.99, with that price it might actually be worth it.

Gearbox isn't done with Duke Nukem

While Gearbox was disappointed with Duke Nukem Forever reception, the developer made it clear they have more plans for the aging icon in the future.


During their panel at PAX, CEO Randy Pitchford ensured gamers that "Forever" wasn't the end goal for the Duke Nukem franchise."I know that you guys figured out that, when Gearbox acquired the [Duke Nukem] franchise, we didn't do it just to make sure we could all play Duke Forever, but because we wanted to make our own Duke game. Soon, we'll talk about that, but not today."

While nothing's probably in development at the moment but Gearbox is most likely heading back to the drawing board figuring how to bring Duke back to glory in the modern age of gaming amongst heavily armored, raspy voiced heroes like Master Chief and Marcus Fenix. Let's hope his next game restores his good name.

Duke Nukem Beta

This isn't very newsy, but I wanted to inform you guys that I received a beta code for Duke Nukem from a friend today and will try to install it and play it as soon as possible and give a review. 

Honestly, I was never a fan of Duke Nukem. I have never played it nor found it remotely interested, hey, maybe this beta play will make me fall in love with it. But anyways, I'll keep you posted when I come around to giving the game a go.

I also have that Darkspore beta to try out also, if I get around to that one too, then I'll write a review.
