Portal Is Free For Five Days

If you have never experienced the glory of Portal, you should do so now while you can. For five days, players are able to download Portal for your PC or Mac for free. Valve is offering this just until the 20th, so get it now while you can. Portal was first free when it was released on Mac, and now, for some weird reason, Valve just decided to throw people who still do not own a copy of Portal a bone.

You can get your copy on the Steam Store here.

The Voice Of GLaDoS Working On Portal Related Stuff

Ellen McLain is well known in the gaming community as the voice actor behind GLaDOS along with the overseer in Half-Life and the Announcer in Team Fortress 2. And it seems like Mrs. McLain is working on something Portal related again.

John Lowrie, McLain's husband, tweeted this, "Ellen is going in Tuesday for a new game and more Portal work".

Tons of speculation will arise from just this little sentence. She's working on a new game and doign more Portal stuff. All the speculation could be from Half-Life 3, Portal 2 DLC and something not Valve related at all. It might even be another soundtrack for Portal 2.

Valve's Release Of Comics

Valve and Dark Horse Comics has teamed up to release a collection of Valve comics, the comics being released are all the comics Valve has done to promote their games. The 304 paged collection comic will include both Lab Rat and The Sacrifice along with other comics; don't worry, the Team Fortress 2 comics will also be included. Expect Valve Presents: The Sacrifice and other Steam-Powered Stories to hit shelves on November 16th for $30, it would be a nice thing to add to your bookshelf if you're a comic reader.

Portal Collaborative Disposition Test

Over at the Thinking With Portal website there is a test to see which Portal character you would be. The only two results I know of are Ratman and Chell. It's a pretty entertaining survey, what were your results?

This is what I got:

You're the quiet, artistic type, happy to ponder the solution to a puzzle in quiet solitude. Compatible cooperative test partners include introspective loners, deaf-mute invisible people, and mannequins.
