Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros

September 6, 2012 0 comments

At the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary celebration, Kojima Productions revealed the new installment to the Metal Gear Solid Series, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros. The trailer shows off just how well the Fox Engine is this time around, and amazed people world wide with it's cinematic trailer.

Kojima made it clear that this is not a Metal Gear Solid 5. This is not a continuation of Metal Gear Solid 4.

“We’re not going to say that it’s Metal Gear Solid 5,” Kojima said earlier this week, “but it is a prologue.”

Rumors are out saying that Ground Zeros will be out for PS3, possibly in 2013.

Kojima Shows Off Face Poses

August 17, 2011 0 comments

Back in June, Hideo Kojima revealed that his team was working on a game engine called Fox Engine. Now he is showing us a bit more than a test scene, he showed off some face poses he's been working on with his new engine. The character that's being posed won't be in any upcoming games, but it is in fact Yevgeny Borisovitch Volgin from Metal Gear Solid 3.

Fox Engine

Hideo Kojima and his team has been building their own game engine called "Fox Engine" for an untitled upcoming game project. Kojima, like always, is not giving any hint to what the project is, but he did show how the Fox Engine looks.

Kojima says that all the stuff in this picture has nothing to do with their project, instead it is just a few sample models, textures, ect. The engine looks pretty nice and clean; it is also to be a cross platformed engine with supposedly impressive development tools. It will be nice if it came with a development kit also, lots of people would want to get their hands on it I'm sure.

That's not all for Kojima, he has also announced that there will be a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection hitting stores this November. The collection will include Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I would more enjoy a complete Metal Gear Collection, now that is something I would throw my money at.
