Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros

September 6, 2012 0 comments

At the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary celebration, Kojima Productions revealed the new installment to the Metal Gear Solid Series, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros. The trailer shows off just how well the Fox Engine is this time around, and amazed people world wide with it's cinematic trailer.

Kojima made it clear that this is not a Metal Gear Solid 5. This is not a continuation of Metal Gear Solid 4.

“We’re not going to say that it’s Metal Gear Solid 5,” Kojima said earlier this week, “but it is a prologue.”

Rumors are out saying that Ground Zeros will be out for PS3, possibly in 2013.

We will take our time and tell the story with all the nuances, ideology, cautionary tales needed."

There is no other news besides Arad being the director of the film.

New Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance Trailer

April 30, 2012 3 comments

Probably being one of the weirdest trailers I've ever seen, Konami's trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance shows off what appears to be Raiden being experimented on as he's poked and prodded with needles.

The website for Metal Gear Rising is pretty neat as there is a hand floating in the middle of the website and there is also a command prompt where you can enter commands; so far I haven't been able to get anything.

Good Luck Getting The Metal Gear Solid Themed 3DS

January 20, 2012 0 comments

Konami announced last month that they will be releasing a snake skin themed 3DS for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D; no, it's not actual snake skin, it's a skin of snake skin.

At the time it was announced there was no information on how you can obtain the beautiful 3DS, but now it has been revealed how you can get your hands on it, but it's not going to be very easy.

Konami is selling the bundle on their online store, Konami Style, for ¥22,980, roughly $299. But it's not that easy, in order to be able to buy it, you're going to need to enter a raffle by registering for a Konami ID.

So you basically sign up, enter a raffle and if you win, you are able to continue to buy the Metal Gear Solid themed 3DS along with some other cool little goodies.

Nintendo 3DS gets a Metal Gear Solid 3DS

December 29, 2011 1 comments

Hideo Kojima recently announced on his twitter account that Konami and Nintendo will be releasing a Limited edition Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater themed 3DS system. Whats special about this is that this system has snake skin, yes, actual Snake skin.

While no pricing has been listed yet, the system is scheduled to be released January 20th next year in Japan. I doubt however that this will be available anywhere else. These are the kind of things PETA should be pissed off about...

Metal Gear Solid: Rising Is Full Of Sword Play...And Revenge!

December 10, 2011 0 comments

After an extremely long time of waiting, Konami has released more information about Metal Gear Solid: Rising via a trailer full of gruesome sword fighting done by the one and only Raiden.

The game looks like it's going in a whole different direction; with the player controlling Raiden and not Snake, it seems like stealth is out of the question, but revenge won't be out of the question at all apparently.

Fox Engine

June 3, 2011 0 comments

Hideo Kojima and his team has been building their own game engine called "Fox Engine" for an untitled upcoming game project. Kojima, like always, is not giving any hint to what the project is, but he did show how the Fox Engine looks.

Kojima says that all the stuff in this picture has nothing to do with their project, instead it is just a few sample models, textures, ect. The engine looks pretty nice and clean; it is also to be a cross platformed engine with supposedly impressive development tools. It will be nice if it came with a development kit also, lots of people would want to get their hands on it I'm sure.

That's not all for Kojima, he has also announced that there will be a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection hitting stores this November. The collection will include Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I would more enjoy a complete Metal Gear Collection, now that is something I would throw my money at.
