Following Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD remake, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is now on the list of having an HD remake.

The exact date hasn't been announced for when the remake will come out, but developers Just Add Water announced that it will be sometime this year when it comes out for the PS3, Vita and "others".

Along with an estimated date announcement, the developers released a side by side comparison of Munch; left is the old version and right is the HD remake version.

Oddworld Stranger's Wrath HD Gets It's First Trailer

September 15, 2011 0 comments

Just the other day, my friend and I were wondering why there isn't a remake of an Oddworld game, because if there was, I'd definitely be getting it. Coincidentally, Sony released a trailer for the HD remake of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath for the Playstation 3.

Developer Just Add Water's CEO has this to say about the HD remake, "It’s been a long road for us, and we’ve made a whole truck full of updates. We’ve updated EVERY one of 83 characters in the game, the vast majority of the environmental textures, and a lot of the environment geometry. We’ve also completely updated the user interface, added some easter eggs into the game, and a whole raft of unlockable extras — some never seen before, and some rarely seen."

There's no exact release date, but the game is currently in beta.

Final Fantasy X For The PS Vita And PS3

What did I tell you guys? High Definition games are starting to rise out of nowhere. First we got MGS and ZOE HD collections for the PS Vita, and now Square Enix is making an HD version of Final Fantasy X.

The PlayStation 2's Final Fantasy X will be getting an HD remake and will be released on both the PlayStation Vita and the Playstation 3. Square Enix is doing a remake of the game for it's 10th anniversary and thought it was a nice way to celebrate the big ten oh. No release date has been given, nor has any screens or videos of that matter.

MGS and ZOE HD Collection On PS Vita

HD Games seem to be making a hullabaloo lately, especially with the new Metal Gear Solid HD remake. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 aren't the only ones getting the HD remake of the hit series, the PlayStation Vita will be getting a ported version of the HD remake.

Hideo Kojima doesn't stop there though, PlayStation Vita players will also be able to play the Zone of Enders HD Collection on the handheld as well.

Fox Engine

June 3, 2011 0 comments

Hideo Kojima and his team has been building their own game engine called "Fox Engine" for an untitled upcoming game project. Kojima, like always, is not giving any hint to what the project is, but he did show how the Fox Engine looks.

Kojima says that all the stuff in this picture has nothing to do with their project, instead it is just a few sample models, textures, ect. The engine looks pretty nice and clean; it is also to be a cross platformed engine with supposedly impressive development tools. It will be nice if it came with a development kit also, lots of people would want to get their hands on it I'm sure.

That's not all for Kojima, he has also announced that there will be a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection hitting stores this November. The collection will include Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I would more enjoy a complete Metal Gear Collection, now that is something I would throw my money at.
