Mass Effect 3 Rebellion Pack announced

Hey there gamers, it's certainly been a while since my last post, I've just been super busy with my new job working tireless hours, but I digress.

If you didn't get enough with Mass Effect 3's previous multiplayer pack Bioware is releasing a whole new second one with even more characters, weapons and maps

The pack has six new character each has their own new ability
Vorcha Soldier - Bloodlust
Vorcha Sentinel - Flamer Skill
Male Quarian Engineer - Arc grenade
Male Quarian Infiltrtor - Tactical Scan
Ex Cerbeus Adept - Biotic Smash
Ex Cerberus Vanguard - Lash Attack

Weapons:
 Harrier Assault Rifle - A mattock rifle modified by cerberus is now fully automatic still with it's amazing stability but at the cost of less power and still has a small clip.

Reeger Carbine Shotgun - Named after the famed Quarian Reeger Family, this weapon uses the arc pitols ability to send an electrical current thorugh multiple enemies

Krysae Sniper Rifle - This modified turian weapon is made for killing reapers, the scope adjusts to distance of any opponent making it great at any range and specializes in armor-piercing and explosive ammo.

Maps:
 Firebase Jade - This jungle reservoir was abandoned cneturies ago by the Salarians. A central room is the best strategic point then you can advance towards the enemy and corner them.

 Firebase Goddess - The center of Thessia's metropolis is the final push for the Asari's resistance against the reapers. This circular map will keep you struggling as you fight enemies from every possible corner.

The rebellion pack will be available May 29th for free. Keep up with Bioware to look for more weekend events and promotions

Gotham City Impostors Getting a New Map and Game Mode

If you've been keeping up with the "Batman" FPS Gotham City Imposters, then I'm sure you'll be happy to know they will be releasing a new update that adds a new map, game mode and also some new voice options.


Unfortunately there has been nothing said about the map, mode or even the release date for it yet. The only thing that has been announced is that the game will feature voices in new languages so if you wondered what all those quirky euphemisms sound like in Japanese or German, then you're in luck. And at least this comes in an update so it's totally free.

Mass Effect 3 gets a Free Multiplayer pack next week

Bioware has announced that they will be releasing a new multiplayer pack for Mass Effect 3, free of charge. The resurgence pack will brings loads of new content including characters, new races, maps, weapons and equipment.

Maps
Condor - A war zone outpost located on Palaven's moon Menae
Hydra - An abandoned Quarian colony that was converted into a power facility

Weapons
-Striker Assault Rifle
-Kishock Harpoon Gun
-Geth plasma SMG

Equipment
Strength Enhancer - Boosts your melee damage for one mission
Targeting VI - Increases headshot damage for one mission
Stabilization Module - Increases stability of all your weapons for a mission
Shield Power cells - Increase shield/barrier strength for one mission

You can download this DLC on April 10 for Xbox Live, PSN and Origin. However, those in Europe will have to download it on the PSN on the 11th. You can see the new Pack in action in the new trailer.

Rocksteady Gives Free Batman Skin to Thank All Their Fans

Arkham City has been given many high praises this year as one of the best games of 2011, and as a huge success, Rocksteady has written a letter to their fans wanted to thank us by releasing a new Batman skin, free of charge.


The new Batman Inc. Skin will be available on all platforms and DLC, and as a bonus, Rocksteady has released an update that allows you to input a code on the menu screen that lets you choose to wear your favorite skin without having to beat the game first, that's old-school.

To activate this cheat code, input the code on your d-pad on the main menu after selecting your save slot. You will receive an audio confirmation that lets you select the skin of your choice. The code is:

-Left, Left, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Up, Up, Down.

Celebrate Thanksgiving Gear of War Style!

Tomorrow EPIC games is giving all you dedicated Gears players five new maps for the Gears of War 3 multiplayer for absolutely free!


The Gears of War booster map pack will be available tomorrow on Thanksgiving day. However to continue playing public multiplayer this pack must be downloaded. This shouldnt be a problem since it will be free at all times. The pack will come with five new maps, Three of them coming from the horde command pack that was released earlier this month. Two of them will be returning from the original Gears of War.

Clocktower
This map features a Longshot sniper rifle at the very top of the map, downwards you can pick up some frag grenades or even a boomshot to put pressure on campers.


Bullet Marsh
Stay out of the dark in this one, if you don't a Kryll swarm will attack you until you're nothing left but bone. However enemies can take out any gas lamp if you stay in the same place for too long.


However to celebrate turkeyday EPIC is making a very special playlist. The Thanksgibbing event will replace your shotgun with a special boomshot that shoots out Chickens, otherwise known as the "cluckshot". While it aint a turkey, it's close enough.

Epic will be giving free DLC for Gears 3

Those who purchase the Gears of War 3 season pass get the Horde Command pack for free however the team at Epic will be releasing a free DLC map pack for free later this month


The Versus booster pack 1 will be available on Xbox Live on November 24th and will give us 5 new multiplayer maps. The first three will be the ones that were available on the first DLC: Azura, Rustlung and blood-drive and two Gears 1 classics: Clocktower and Bullet Marsh. However those who are just planning to get this pack will miss the extra characters, skins and fortification upgrades that was available on the horde command pack.

Portal 2 DLC Finally Hittin On October 4

First we were told we would get the Portal 2 DLC in Summer, then we were told mid-September and now we're being told something else. The free DLC for Portal 2 will be available to download next weekon October 4.

"Peer Review", the name of the DLC, focuses more on the co-op mode, but it will continue to storyline of the game. The only thing single player is getting is a challenge mode that tracks down online scores for a leaderboard, co-op will be getting the same things as well.

Portal Is Free For Five Days

If you have never experienced the glory of Portal, you should do so now while you can. For five days, players are able to download Portal for your PC or Mac for free. Valve is offering this just until the 20th, so get it now while you can. Portal was first free when it was released on Mac, and now, for some weird reason, Valve just decided to throw people who still do not own a copy of Portal a bone.

Nintendo Video App [Update]

Nintendo has announced that a video app for your 3DS will be available to download on the eShop tomorrow. Luckily it's all free also and you will be able to watch videos in 2D or 3D. These videos are comedy clips, cartoons and music videos. I'm not too sure if all videos are 3D enabled, so don't get too disappointed when you don't see your favorite artists or cartoons coming right at you.

The first wave of videos will have some 3D clips of Oscar's Oasis and episodes from a series titled Magic Tricks For Your Nintendo 3DS. Supposedly there will be a lot more videos that you'd be able to watch shortly after the launch release.

Update: I just found out that the Nintendo Video App will come out this Summer along with Netflix. Nintendo of America states:

“Nintendo’s short-form video service that delivers special video content for Nintendo 3DS systems will launch in North America later this summer. In addition, Netflix members who have an unlimited plan starting at $7.99 a month and access to a broadband wireless Internet connection will soon be able to download a free Netflix application that allows them to watch movies and TV shows on their Nintendo 3DS systems at no extra charge.
