Mass Effect Trilogy Collection Coming Soon

September 26, 2012 0 comments

Most developers are giving in to the trend to release the series in one whole collectors set, and Bioware is the next victim. Earlier today they have announced the Mass Effect Trilogy box set.

The best thing about this new box set is that it will be released on PC, Xbox 360 AND PS3 which mean that PlayStation owners can finally play the first Mass Effect title on their PlayStation 3 and get the full Mass Effect experience.

The Trilogy set will come with all 3 games (DLC not included) and Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode in all one cozy collectors box on November 6th this year, no price has been listed yet.

This Is What The Mass Effect Animation Looks Like

The Mass Effect animated film has been a secret from the rest of the world for quite some time, but today that is no longer the case as concept art for the movie was shown off during SXSW 12.

FUNimation, T.O. Entertainment and Producion I.G. will be working together to produce this film.

Mass Effect Figures Comes With Mass Effect 3 DLC

January 23, 2012 0 comments

EA's newest release of Mass Effect action figures will be including DLC for Mass Effect 3 later this year.

Each figure will have different in-game content for Mass Effect 3 that is only exclusive to North America. There will only be eight different figures to collect, such as Garrus, Grunt, Shepard, Tali, Thane, Legion, Miranda and Mordin. A set of four can be purchased with the first set including Miranda, Morin, Garrus and Legion while the second set includes Shepard, Grunt, Talia and Thane.

You won't know which figure gives which code, because apparently they are all random according to the BioWare Store.

"These products contain codes that can be redeemed for a downloadable content pack for Mass Effect 3 multi-player. They are slightly randomized during the registration and could include powerful new weapons and new characters. The pack could also include character boosters, weapon modifications, and weapon upgrades to make your multi-player squad stronger. (Only supported on XBox360 and PC.)"

The figures are not out yet, but you can pre-order them for $17.99 (4-Pack sets are $75) for when they come out sometime in April and May of this year.

Another Mass Effect Comic In April

January 20, 2012 0 comments

Mac Walters, lead writer for Mass Effect 3, will be teaming up with Dark Horse to create a new comic book series based off of the game called Homeworld.

The series will focus on a new character in each issue with the first issue starring the newest character to join Shepard in his fight to save the universe - James Vega.

You can expect the first issue to be out on April 25, but there is no information on how many issues this will go on for or other future release dates.

It Was Nice Knowing You Shepard

Fans are concerned that Mass Effect 3 will be the end for everything Mass Effect, luckily Ray Mazuka, CEO of Bioware, has confirmed that Mass Effect will be going on strong despite the end of the trilogy.

Ray Mazuka says, “We have ambitious plans to continue this franchise going forward. Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things; a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.”

Mazuka was then asked if this would mean the end for Commander Shepard, and his response was a bit more shocking. “After this, Commander Shepard’s story is complete," says Mazuka.

Makes sense for Shepard not to be involved in anything else after the game is complete since not everything revolves around him. This gives BioWare a chance to expand the Mass Effect Universe and other different types of planets and aliens by using video games.

Mass Effect: The Movie

July 6, 2011 0 comments

Besides the Mass Effect anime, there will be a live action movie adaption of the game. I had no idea this was happening until a friend of mine showed me it.  There will also be a first glimpse of it during San Diego Comicon on July 22nd. The movie will be produced by Legendary Film's with Mark Protosevich as the screenwriter. I'll be searching for information once the panel is over to bring you guys updates about the movie.

Mass Effect Anime

EA has announced this morning that they will be working with Funimation in order to create a Mass Effect anime. According to their press release, "the anime video will tell the tale of an epic science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life and mysterious, uncharted planets." It seems like that the anime won't feature Sheperd and his gang, instead it will show other life forms. I enjoy that EA and Bioware has made expansions outside of the games. Either way, I'm pretty excited about this and want to see if any Turians will have any exciting roles.

Also, make sure to get your hands on the May edition of GameInformer for 12 pages of exclusive information on Mass Effect 3.

New Thunderbolts, Fear partially explained and more!

December 20, 2010 0 comments

So I've been busy this weekend and have not been able to update the blog. Well, here I am with some updates.

First off, another Marvel Fear picture has surfaced.
I'm getting pretty hyped up about this. And the next news worthy post is even better than this picture: An explanation on what Fear is about. Tomorrow at noon (December 21st, Eastern Time) at Marvel.com, Fear is going be be revealed live. So tune in and find out what all this is about.

Thunderbolts wants a new team member, and we readers get to decide who we want. There's a pole going on with 13 characters that we get to chose from along with an "other" box. I haven't decided whom I want on the team yet. But here's the link so you can vote:

So Age of X isn't just about the X-Men. Age of X will also follow the Avengers. A world without X-Men just doesn't effect X-Men related things, it effects the whole world it seems. Age of X: Universe #1 hits shelves in March of 2011.

New screenies for Arkham City has showed his face. Looks like Batman is laying down a beating on some thugs.

Infamous is getting it's own mini comic series brought to you by DC comics. This mini series takes place between the first and second game. Am I the only one that hopes for a JLU cameo?

Valve has released two new Left 4 Dead plushies to their store for preorder. They're suppose to ship on the 27th and are 10% off for a limited time. So go get yourself a box of them. The Hunter stands at 10 inches tall and the Tank is a whopping 13 inches.

Last but not least; the Illusive man from Mass Effect is getting an origin thanks to Dark Horse comics. Mass Effect 2's lead writer (Mac Walters) will be writing Mass Effect: Evolution. Not much is being said about it, but don't worry though, it's canon.

Well, that's it for now I guess. That's all of the things I've learned so far while I've been away from the internet
