Street Fighter X Tekken Now Includes Megaman, Pac-man And More

January 27, 2012 0 comments

Capcom and Namco have brought in new characters for Street Fighter X Tekken as there are five new members, which includes Pac-Man, Megaman, Cole, Kuro and Toro.

Capcom has finally decided to bring in Megaman into a fighting games, but this isn't your regular Megaman as the one they chose is the Megaman on the cover of Megaman 1, you know, the full grown man in blue spandex with both hands and a gun.

These characters are Sony exclusive, meaning they are only available on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Street Fighter X Tekken.

Check out the trailer below to see their moves.

New Street Fighter X Tekken Shot accidentally reveals M. Bison & Ling Xiaoyu

January 2, 2012 0 comments

The Screenshot above looks nothing new about the upcoming fighter crossover, but if you look at the Character icons on the top you can see Street Fighter's M. Bison and Tekken's Ling Xiaoyu as ready to swap team-mates meaning these two will appear in the 360, PS3 and PC version of Street Fighter X Tekken. However there is a chance they wont appear in the Vita version (due to Cole McGrath appearing exclusively on the Vita) but nothing's set in stone yet.

The console versions are scheduled for release in early march (a delay may be possible), with the vita's version coming out later that month. Do think M. Bison is excited for his confirmation?

YES! YES!!!

Extremely Hype Pandora Trailer

And no, I'm not talking about the movie, Borderlands, or anything else. I'm talking about the new gameplay mechanic added into Street Fighter x Tekken. I just saw this video and nearly had a heart attack from excitement. Not only do we get some footage of the 4 characters I mentioned earlier today (Zangief, Lili, Rolento, and Heihachi), but we get a little insight into the story for the game, and a crazy new mechanic for the game. It appears you sacrifice your point character to activate some sort of crazy power-up for your other character. Not to mention you look totally badass when you do it. EXCITEMENT!!!

Capcom is really winding up for the Tokyo Game Show this year. Last year with the then-upcoming MvC3 they announced Wesker, Tron, Spider-man, and X-23 as playable. This year they're showing us a little early some stills of characters they kind of already announced for Street Fighter x Tekken. I'm sure we'll get actual trailers for the characters come this weekend, but for now this is all we get.

Lili:

Zangief:

Heihachi:

Rolento:

Personally I'm very excited for Heihachi and Rolento, both of which are characters I've really enjoyed playing in games in the past. The TGS cannot start soon enough!

New Cinematic Trailer For Street Fighter x Tekken

September 12, 2011 0 comments

As a special preview to the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom gave us a new CG trailer for Street Fighter X Tekken. This one reveals 2 new characters that we pretty much all knew were gonna be in the game anyway, but here they are. One of them is featured throughout the trailer, Rufus, and the other is given only a cameo towards the end, being Marshal Law. The video itself is pretty amusing too, since it shows Rufus, while hating him greatly, really has no idea who Ken Masters is or what he looks at. Enjoy!

2 New Teasers For Street Fighter X Tekken

September 1, 2011 0 comments

As the title says, today Capcom released two teasers for new characters in Street Fighter X Tekken. As the other teasers do, neither of them actually show the characters in full, but they give really heavy hints as to who they are. General assumptions are that the first teaser is Heihachi, and the second teaser is Rolento. Ya know, with all these Final Fight characters, the game is really becoming Final Fight & Street Fighter X Tekken...

Street Fighter X Tekken Character Video & Theme Song

There is a new video out last night that I just came across that shows a little bit of the 4 newly announced characters in SFxT, Hugo, Ibuki, Raven, and Kuma. Some of the combos in this video are in fact impossible due to meter requirements, but it does show off some of the flashy stuff you can do in this game. I also don't think they have Raven's super done yet, since they show Yoshimitsu's at the end of his section instead of his. I would also like to say that I'm really disappointed in Kuma's super. I get the idea that he's a funnier character, but I really don't want to be seeing him fart in people's faces all day. Granted, I don't think it's going to come into play that often, since meter is more often spend on EX moves and tagging out to continue combos.

And I recently realized that I know the song that they've been using in all the CG trailers. Its a song from the band Black Tide called "Honest Eyes". Here's the song!

Street Fighter X Tekken Might Be Possible For 3DS

July 31, 2011 0 comments

Yoshinori Ono, Street Fighter producer, has revealed that a Street Fighter X Tekken might be possible for the 3DS as he shares his interest in the handheld with this statement:

“It’s possible. For the 3DS, I wanted to do an [Super Street Fighter IV:] Arcade Edition version, but I haven’t had a chance to do that because of all the other things I’m up to. At the company, we’re debating should we go for an AE port on 3DS? Should we skip that and go straight to Street Fighter x Tekken? There are a lot of things up in the air, so I can’t say for sure what our next 3DS project will be.”
