The Last Of Us Gets Two Collector Editions

Survival Edition

Sony has announced yesterday that their upcoming post apocalyptic game, The Last of Us, will be getting two different special editions - the Survival Edition and the Post-Pandemic Edition. Both packages come with some pretty cool stuff.

The Survival Edition will cost you $79.99 and includes:

• The Art of The Last of Us
• The Last of Us: American Dreams #1 comic
• Steelbook game case
• Sights & Sounds DLC Pack
• Naughty Dog Sticker Sheet

The Post-Pandemic Edition will be more expensive with a $159.99 price tag, but it will include:

• 12 inch premium statue by Project Triforce
• Steelbook edition of the game
• The Last of Us: American Dreams #1 comic
• Survival DLC Pack
• Sights & Sounds DLC Pack
• Naughty Dog Sticker Sheet

Note that the Post-Pandemic Edition does not include the art book that is in the Survival Edition. Also, the Post-Pandemic Edition is limited and only purchasable at GameStop.

The Last of Us will be out on the PlayStation 3 on May 7, 2013.

Get Violent With The Last Of Us

New footage for The Last of Us was finally shown today. The gameplay footage didn't show any of the mutated baddies but it does show just how violent you can be to the human bad guys as the main character, Joel, bashes and shoots everyone in his way.

The footage has Joel and Ellie going through buildings and rooftops in order to get to a bridge. They can't simple walk down the road since it is overrun by 20 years of overgrown plant life and heavy machinery.

As they are on a rooftop, they encounter human survivors where Joel go after them before they go after him. Joel shoots and bashes some heads in in order to survive. His arsenal included a revolver, his fists, a nightstand, a molotov and a shotgun.

New The Last Of Us Trailer

A new trailer has been released today for Naughty Dog's upcoming The Last of Us. The trailer doesn't show off any new gameplay, but it does show off the lush environment that is making the game well known. The trailer also shows off a new kind of threat to the two main characters besides the crazy mutants - humans.

Infected Mutant Bust From The Last Of Us

Naughty Dog has given us a closer look at the mutated fungus people from The Last of Us through the form of an extremely realistic bust.

The bust is well detailed, especially with the mold fuzz that is growing on the mutated person's neck. I wonder if Naughty Dog will ever sell this bust, I'm sure it would cost an arm and a leg.

Pictures From The Last Of Us Demo

Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer has posted new pictures from The Last of Us on the official PlayStation blog from his gameplay demo of the game. All the pictures taken are straight from the demo with actual gameplay. Along with the pictures, Meyer describes in detail what the demo was like.

Background Story Of The Last Of Us

Thanks to GameInformer covering The Last of Us all month long, we now have a detailed background story of the The Last of Us and it's characters.

In a video with Naughty Dog's Game Director Bruce Straley and Creative Director Neil Druckman, they explain that how an infection broke out with military personnel setting up quarantine zones and how everything is now court-martialed. As for the setting, The Last of Us takes place 20 years after the infection broke out.

Straley and Druckman also go into detail about the game's environment, how they tried to make the environment look beautiful with the all the natural things (plants and animals) that has taken over cities during the post-apocalyptic world.

GameInformer Shows Off New Screenshots Of The Last Of Us

GameInformer is covering Naughty Dog's upcoming game The Last Of Us and they have all new in game screenshots straight from their March magazine issue.

It seems like Naughty Dog is going the same route Dead Island went in terms of weapons will need to be repaired and looking for new weapons to use is going to be a key to survival. Pittsburgh will also be the main setting for The Last Of Us.

The Last Of Us Being Developed By Naughty Dog

More information on the mysterious PlayStation 3 exclusive title, The Last of Us, has been given to us. Such as that Naughty Dog will be the ones developing the game.

Along with that, we were also given a debut trailer with some pretty damn nice graphics. Whatever creatures are in the game are crazy as hell; I can tell this is going to be one amazing game. The creatures seem to be some type of mutated humans in a post-apocalyptic world.

The Last Of Us

There is a secretive new game that is being announced this weekend at the Video Game Awards called The Last Of Us.

The Last Of Us is an PlayStation 3 exclusive game that only has two videos and two images that was just released today over at their website. One trailer shows riots and crazy people doing crazy things and the other video is of an ant with a parasitic fungus. One image is of plants with the sun glaring at the camera and the other image is of a newspaper stand that is old and busted up.

I have no idea what the game is about, but I want it!
