New at San Diego Comic-con, Voilition released an exclusive trailer for it's over-the-top sandbox sequel, Saints Row: The Third. Once a small street gang the 3rd street Saints have now gained celebrity status in their hometown of Stillwater and sold their label to everything from clothing lines, energy drinks and even Johnny Gat bobble-heads.
This new trailer outlines where the Saint's newest adventure starts off; A bank robbery gone terribly wrong where the Saint's unknowingly steal money from a multi-international criminal organization known as the Syndicate. The leader of the Syndicate, Phillipe Loren: A chain smoking Belgian with a penchant for crime, money and murder, offers the Saints to merge with his company for a small portion of their profit. The leader of the Saints declines this offer by killing a few of Loren's henchmen and jumping out of his private jet action movie style. And the war between the two crime lords begin.
As if I wasn't already excited for game even more. Saints Row: The Third will have outrageous and irreverent game-play featuring over-the-top weapons and stunts and near limitless character and vehicle customization. The game will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC all on November 15th 2011
