Halo 4 Gets a Release Date
Bungie Giving Halo Player Data To 343 Industries
Bungie has released a statement today announcing that all player data that they have for Halo will no longer be handled by themselves at the end of March.
The player data will be given to Halo's new development company, 343 Industries, on March 31. From there all data will then be handled by 343 Industries.
"Bungie will no longer be able to update game stats and player service records, to host new user generated content, or to operate the Bungie Pro service," says Bungie. "All currently supported, Bungie-developed Halo titles will be impacted by this change.
"Any replacement functionality, and all future Halo support, will be provided by Microsoft and 343 Industries via Halo Waypoint."
Halo: Reach Recieves Six New Multiplayer Maps
Halo: Reach isn't out of the count just yet, Microsoft has plans to release four classic multiplayer maps based off of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
The dubbed "Anniversary Map Pack" will comes with six different classic maps for Halo lovers to enjoy, the said maps are Battle Canyon, Breakneck, High Noon, Penance, Ridgeline and Solitary. The map pack will cost 1200 Microsoft points or $15 and will be available on November 15, the same day that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is released.
Halo: Combat Evolved HD Remake Launch Trailer
In this day of age old games are being remade to be on par with today's graphics, which is why 343 Industries is remaking Halo: Combat Evolved in an HD format.
I enjoyed the first Halo, the other ones, not so much, besides Halo: Reach of course. I might get the HD remake of Combat Evolved after it's release date od November 15, just so I can get it used or wait till it drops down in price, because there is no way I'm spending $60 on a remake.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Demo
343Industries has released a commentary demo of the Silent Cartographer level for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. This new version of Halo is pretty impressive with it running portions of two different engines at the same time along with switching the graphics with a push of a button.
More information will be available at Halo Fest at the end of August.
Video Games At Comic Con [Update]
San Diego Comic Con is coming up real soon, meaning things not related to comics will have booths, like Glee! Each one announcing something new and different.
Nintendo will be hosting upcoming games for the Wii and 3DS that includes:

- Just Dance 3
- Super Mario
- Mario Kart
- Kid Icarus: Uprising
- The Legend of Zelda: Orcarind of Time 3D
- Pokédex 3D
- Metal Gear Solid" Snake Eater 3D
- Shinobi
- Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

Microsoft will be featuring a handful of their games for people to play, such as:
- Kinect Star Wars
- Dance Centrail 2
- Gears of War 3
Video games are a big part of Comic Con, along with many other things, and will most likely be around to stay. Most video game related things are just playable demos and minor announcements or plans, but I'll try to report to you guys anything news related as soon as I find out!
Update Edit:
Just found out for you fighting gamers that there will also be character reveals for Street Fighter X Tekken, a new character for MK9, an announcement of two new characters for Soul Calibur 5 and possibly a character or two for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Sorry to leave you fighting gamers out of the loop, I really don't follow them a lot, I try to at least. Thanks to my friends for giving me the info about it.
Get Armor And A Skull, Just For Pre Ordering Halo
If you're interested in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, there's now motivation for you to preorder it. For putting down money on it, you can get a spiffy Mjolnir assault armor for your avatar along with a "Grunt Funeral" Skull. This skull ensures a hilarious experience when chaining attacks on Grunts.
Expect Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to hit shelves on November 15 for just $39.99. Not $59.99, but $39.99, I'm surprised that it's only going to cost that much considering every other game costs an arm and a leg.
