Counter-Strike Meets The Office

January 26, 2012 0 comments

Coincidentally after watching a couple episodes of The Office, I found out that someone was clever enough to design the office off Dunder Mifflin Paper Company into a map for Counter-Strike: Source.

Youtube user Blitzkrieg1981 took 500 hours away from his life playing and pausing episodes in order to design the map identical to the one in the hit TV show. He even put in Vance Refrigerationpain!

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Debut Trailer

August 25, 2011 0 comments

Valve has been throwing out new stuff for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and their next thing in line is the official trailer for the next Counter-Strike installment.

I might have to get this game, Counter-Strike was my first FPS and first Valve game and I enjoyed the hell out of it. And seeing the new additions are making me happy; eight new weapons are being given to players, which are:

  • Decoy Grenade
  • Molotov
  • IMI Negev
  • Taser
  • Tec-9
  • Mag-7
  • Sawed-Off
  • PP-Bizon

I'm liking how the game will be cross-platform playable, and we also know that PS3 owners will be able to hook up their mouse and keyboard to play against other Global Offensive players, whether it be on the PC and/or the PS3.

I would like to believe that Valve is making a new engine for Global Offensive, but I know it's such a farfetched idea.

Counter-Strike: Global Offense

News has been going around about a rumored game Valve is making, and no, it's not Half-Life 3 or anything related. The new rumored in game is actually Counter-Strike related, the FPS that got Valve rolling, besides Half-Life, is getting a new game.

CS:GO will include new additions to the world of Counter-Strike with new maps, characters and weapons along with updated versions of maps and new gameplay modes.

Doug Lombardi has this to say about the new addition to Valve games:

"Counter-Strike took the gaming industry by surprise when the unlikely MOD became the most played online PC action game in the world almost immediately after its release in August 1999. For the past 12 years, it has continued to be one of the most-played games in the world, headline competitive gaming tournaments and selling over 25 million units worldwide across the franchise. CS: GO promises to expand on CS' award-winning gameplay and deliver it to gamers on the PC as well as the next gen consoles and the Mac."

CS:GO is being developed by Hidden Path Entertainment (Defense Grid, Counter-Strike: Source) and will be out in early 2012.

I can already hear the rage people will be having since this isn't anything Half-Life 3 related, and I would be one of them, but Counter-Strike was my first Valve/Steam game and I really enjoyed it, so I'm pretty excited for this new addition. This is my Call of Duty.

Summer activities keep on going down at Steam's Summer Camp and even the sales won't stop coming! Luckily we have just 3 more days of this!

Company of Heroes - $2.49
Risen - $10.19
Comman & Conquer 4 - $4.00
Sanctum - $3.75
AudioSurf - $1.49
Rift - $9.99
Street Fighter IV - $14.99
Counter-Strike Source - $4.99
Quake - $2.49
Cities 2011 XL - $7.99
Dead Rising 2 - $19.99
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - $3.47

I would so but Rift if I just had that much money AND money for its subscription cost. I loved playing the beta for it and I've wanted the game ever since. Life is unfair when you don't have a steady income. At least with some of the games I have, I can earn more Prize Tickets, don't forget those update daily as well.
