Osborn Chooses His New Dark Avengers

November 12, 2011 0 comments

Norman Osborn is back at it with his Dark Avengers, he has already recruited his team and already formed allies in New Avengers #18.

After escaping the secret he was being held in, Norman decided to make friends with A.I.M., Hydra and The Hand led by Gorgon. Having those three allies backing up his every motif has also gave him the chance to form his new Dark Avengers with Wolverine, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Mrs. Marvel and Hawleye, but these aren't the actual Avengers of course.

Skaar, the Son of Hulk and King of the Savage land will be taking the charge as Hulk on Norman's new team. Skaar will be backed up by Barney Barton as Hawkeye, Ai Apaec as a six armed Spider-Man, and Toxic Doxie as Scarlet Witch. There still leaves the question on who will be portraying Wolverine and Ms. Marvel. My best guess for Wolverine would be Daken, but his new motifs don't really coincide with Osborn's and this Wolverine has three claws between his knuckles as opposed to having two claws and one claw coming from the palm. As for who the new Ms. Marvel might be, I have no idea honestly.

Osborn being back and having a team that can cause a problem for the Avengers is really nothing compared to what A.I.M. brought Osborn as a gift. Somehow A.I.M. has acquired the body of Ragnarok, Thor's clone designed by Stark and Reed during the Civil War. The only reason A.I.M. hasn't used Ragnarok was because of money issues, but now that is not an issue with Osborn helping them out. once Ragnarok is up and running, he will be the ninth member of the Dark Avengers including Osborn when he gets armor for himself.

So Norman Osborn is back to wreak havoc across the globe for his belief that costumed super powered beings should be allowed to do what they do for what they think is right for the world. And knowing Osborn, he will give the Avengers a run for their money. If he goes down the same path as he did in Dark Avengers, then Ragnarok will be his secret weapon, but like the Sentry was.

Dark Avengers Returns This November

After the events of Siege, Norman Osborn was taken to an extreme high security maximum prison that was secret to the rest of the world. But now he's out of that prison and back in the real world with a new group of Dark Avengers.

New Avengers #18 will be the issue that shows off Osborn's new team, but what does he have planned for the world and it's heroes? Surely he's going to want some kind of revenge for the unfair treatment of being in prison without a trial.  Whatever is going on in Osborn's head, we'll find out this November.

The New Dark Avengers are pretty secretive for now, but it looks like Skaar is in the mix and possibly Bullseye or Barney Barton as the bow wielder, but I'm not too sure who the bald guy could be.

New Avengers Gains The Daredevil With Osborn Returning

June 11, 2011 0 comments

After Daredevil's meltdown in Hell's Kitchen and his journey of to find himself within 4 issues, Matt Murdock will be making a return to New York as a bonafied New Avengers member. Along with Daredevil's return, Norman Osborn shows his face to the world after being improperly imprisoned due to his attack on Asgard.

You've got the return of a hero and the return of a villain; a perfect way to balance out each other. I am not too sure if this means this is the end of Black Panther being the Man Without Fear, I hope it isn't 'cause I am absolutely loving Black Panther's new change in Hell's Kitchen. I'm sure that Murdock will be too busy hanging with his new team and will continue leaving Panther do his own thing.

Another interesting thing is the whole Norman Osborn coming back in the New Avengers comic, since Spider-Man is a member of the New Avengers, how will he take the news of Osborn's return? Whatever will be going on, we will be able to find out in New Avengers #19.1.

I just realized though, New Avengers will be filled with a lot of street leveled heroes, something Bendis is excellent at.
