New Details For Telltale Game's The Walking Dead

February 15, 2012 0 comments

It has been awhile since we have heard about Telltale Games' adaptation of The Walking Dead, but now they have unveiled some news for us all.

Telltale has launched the official website for The Walking Dead. On their site is a video that talks about what the game is all about; it has Lead Designers, Jake Rodkin and Sean Vanaman, explain when their game takes place and other story aspects of the game along with the characters.

Telltale Games will be breaking their game up into episodes with the first one taking place while Rick Grimes is in a coma. But fans will recognize some characters in the game, such as Hershel as he is making an appearing role in the game. There will also be new characters of course; players will be playing as Lee Everett, who was a criminal being transported before the whole zombie apocalypse.

There's a great deal waiting for players who are regular subscribers to PlayStation Plus - you could be eligible to get a free downloadable copy of Telltale's Jurassic Park game.

If you purchase a one-year subscription to PlayStation Plus between today and November 8th, then Sony will give you Jurassic Park completely free to download so you don't need to spend the $29.99 that it costs. Sure you might be spending $49.99 on the subscription, but at least you get other goodies with PlayStation Plus.

The Walking Dead Trailer And Video Game

At San Diego Comic Con, AMC showed atendees thei trailer for Season 2 of The Walking Dead along with revealing the date and time for the show. The 13-episode season will debut October 16 at 9 P.M. ET/PT.

I'm pretty excited for the second season (especially the farm house part), I loved the first and how it was adapted into a T.V. show. I really hope that they show their prison hideout, I loved that part in the comic book.

Along with a trailer for the T.V. adaptation, Telltale has released some pictures of their upcoming The Walking Dead game. Telltale has decided not to follow Rick and his group, but instead they created a new character - Lee - who was a prisoner during the whole outbreak.

The game is about Lee trying to survive and will have situation where you will have to eat and mend a broken bone. The Walking Dead won't be a straight up run-n-gun zombie shooter, it will be more like an adventure game where you talk to people and solve puzzles. Some choices you make in the game, can affect other parts of the game also.

Jurassic Park Delayed

As everyone knows, the good games get delayed. And it's the same for Telltale Game's Jurassic Park. It's just been announced that they are going to release Jurassic Park this Fall as apposed to this month.

For all you disgruntled buyers, do not fret, because Telltale has offered something nice for the PC users who have preordered the game: a refund and a free game. Now that is rare for a company to do, makes me wish I preordered the game. But you get a complete refund and you get a free Telltale game of your choice.

Telltale's Jurrasic Park

Today, we got a Developer Diary from Telltale Games on the upcoming Jurassic Park game. I will say that I am getting more excited for this game. Jurassic Park will be a survival game more than shooter, and I'm completely fine with this. Telltale Games seems to be doing extremely well on this game and looks like they've been accurate to the movie (except for the characters that is). I can't wait to get my hands on this.

And here's a trailer just in case any of you missed it:
