The Secre World Offers Pre-Order Bonuses

Interesting news came out today regarding Funcom's upcoming MMO - The Secret World. Pre-ordering a copy of the game will snag you some pre-order bonuses such as beta invites and early access. Here is the full list of bonuses and a trailer:

• Guaranteed access to all beta weekends starting May 11, with the ability to carry over their characters to every subsequent event
• Guaranteed early access to the game, up to four days prior to the game’s official launch
• An exclusive in-game item providing an experience boost to progression
• An exclusive in-game t-shirt featuring a unique monster design
• A powerful pet (Ferocious Wolf, Egyptian Cat, or Loyal Hound) to support the player in combat
• A head start on character naming before the game launches

The Secret World Will Have A Subscription Fee

The Secret World has been pretty secret in which it will be free-to-play or if there will be a subscription cost. Funcom, publisher of The Secret World, has announced that there will be a subscription fee in order to play, the price is yet to be unknown at the moment.

Funcom is also trying something a bit different, The Secret World will include an in-game store in which players will be able to purchase cosmetic items, they also say that, "convenience items and character customization items such as clothing".

 They continue to say:

"As developers we are being very careful in making sure that items purchased through the store does not give players any unfair advantage against those who do not use the in-game store. 

"Character power in The Secret World will be determined by how well you play the game, not how much money you are willing to put into it."

The Secret World CGI Trailer

Funcom has released an amazingly crisp CGI trailer for the upcoming Secret World game, this trailer features an Illuminati using his magical powers in a bar and bathroom.

I have no idea how I have never seen this game before until today, but here are more videos from The Secret World site. Here are the first two CGI trailers though, since the one posted above is the third.





And here is a trailer from awhile ago. Sorry that I'm all new to this, like I said, I'm surprised that I've never seen or heard about this before. I'm so pumped for this game.

The Secret World

Funcom has an upcoming game coming out called The Secret World, which involves secret societies, the supernatural, and British people. This horror looking MMO doesn't have a lot of information about itself except for the fact that it involves vampires, demons and zombies in different locations around the world. And your roles as the character is that you belong to a certain type of secret society to rid the Earth of these unnatural creatures. These gun totin' societies include:

• Dragon - "The Art of Chaos - Unknowable instigators of change, through quiet violence they create tiny ripples that grow into sweeping tsunamies"
• Illuminati - "Sex Drugs and Rockefeller - Invisible puppet-masters and corporate manipulators, they crave power and weaalth by any means necessary."
• Templars - "Deliverance From Evil - The old guard; suave and sophisticated, but fiercely brutal and uncompromising in their crusade against darkness."

It looks like that there will be a good amount of customization also, you can change your wardrobe with no restrictions, you can dress any way you like. Along with a different look, you can wield any weapon of your choice, whether it be magic or bullets.

And those characters are too fight a fearsome group enemies, the monsters look extremely intriguing and horrifying and there are more to be announced besides the Wendigo, Deep Ones, The Akab, The Revenant, The Draug, Fire Djinn, Scarecrow, Spectres amd Zombie Hulk (HULK EAT Braaaaaaaaains).

Secret World is something that just caught my eye, this will surely be going on my wishlist. I'm not too sure of the release date of this game but I want it!
