EA On WII U's Online

November 17, 2011

Peter Moore, Electronic Arts Chief Operating Officer, seems to have gotten his hands on trying out WII U's Online system. He told FAMITSU that he was extremely happy with what Nintendo's online had to offer.

“It’s a very exciting machine and I’m glad to see it out there. I mean, a hi-def Nintendo platform! There’s nothing that could make me happier. Its online capabilities are really extensive, too, so we’ll be able to differentiate ourselves from the competition more easily with our sports lineup. We can’t announce anything yet, but what I can say is that Nintendo is a company that’s been producing new types of play culture for years. The 3DS and Wii U have taken on that DNA, so I really can’t wait to see what kind of new surprises are waiting for us.”

It seem's EA has come to Nintendo with the idea of their Origins to be used on their platform. I extremely hope, along with very many, that this NEVER happens, and Nintendo doesn't fall into their greedy trap. It would make everything a lot more difficult and frustrating, and frankly EA gives off a cold vibe lately, where as Nintendo has always been bright as Gold for their fans. However if this does happen, it won't keep me from buying the platform. It probably wouldn't keep people away from buying it either, no other console is going to have the substantial games that Nintendo has already promised us with Wii U.

A cheers to you Nintendo, for a brighter feature for your online.
