Crysis 3 Information Coming This Monday

Earlier today a banner for Crysis 3 appeared on EA's Origin but was taken down. The banner shows someone in a nanosuit (most likely Alcatraz) with a bow and arrow.

After the banner was taken down, EA contacted Game Informer and said the following:

"The best kept secret in shooters just can't be contained. Stay tuned for more information on April 16."

We have five more days until April 16 until we possibly get a trailer.

Gambit Title Coming Soon

It seems like Marvel will be giving the Cajun X-Man a much needed spot light as they have released a teaser image that says 'Gambit' with 'August 2012' below it.

All we know is that more information will be released at C2E2 this Sunday, April 15, at 11 am at Marvel's Next Big Thing panel.

Matt Groening Finally Tells Where Springfield Is

For years and years everyone has wondered where Springfield is located on the globe, well now today Matt Groening has revealed that tidbit piece of information after all these years.

During an interview with Smithsonian magazine, Groening has revealed that Springfield takes place in his home state of Oregon. Yes, Springfield, Oregon.

“Springfield was named after Springfield, Oregon,” says Groening. “The only reason is that when I was a kid, the TV show Father Knows Best took place in the town of Springfield, and I was thrilled because I imagined that it was the town next to Portland, my hometown. When I grew up, I realized it was just a fictitious name. I also figured out that Springfield was one of the most common names for a city in the U.S. In anticipation of the success of the show, I thought, ‘This will be cool; everyone will think it’s their Springfield.’ And they do.”

Lost Planet 3 Announced

 
Capcom is releasing new trailers left and right today. First it was Resident Evil6, then it was DmC and now Capcom has announced Lost Planet 3 and has thrown out a trailer with it as well.

Being developed by Spark Unlimited (Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Legendary and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty) focuses on a pilot, Jim, sent to the planet E.D.N. III in order to survey for samples and in order to prepare the planet for colonization.

New Devil May Cry Trailer

First Capcom released a trailer for Resident Evil 6, now they have released a trailer for DmC: Devil May Cry.

The "sexual deviant" known as Dante is being hunted as a terrorist by law enforcements and trying to be killed by demons (sounds like an adrenaline filled life). The trailer shows Dante naked and changing into his clothes in slow-mo as he is being attacked by a big and nasty demon.

New Resident Evil Trailer Shows Off New Details

Today Capcom released a new trailer for the new and upcoming Resident Evil 6 showing off more details than we already know such as that the game will be revolving around the C-Virus which is responsible for the creation of the J'avo, one of the new mutated baddies in Resident Evil 6. Watch the trailer below for a Wesker related surprise.

Originally having a release date for November 20, Resident Evil 6 will be released on October 2.

Gears Of Wars: Exiled Announced And Then Cancelled

Gears of War: Exile, the newest Gear of War game that would be taking advantage of the Kinect's features, has been cancelled.

Originally being a rumor, Epic Games director Cliff Bleszinksi shot down the rumors and revealed that the game was in fact real, at the same time he also announced its cancellation.

"Let's just bury the hatchet now," said Bleszinksi. "Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled."

Borderlands 2 will have a Fifth Class and More

Gearbox surprised fans today at PAX east this weekend by announcing some new features coming to their much anticipated sequel to Borderlands and by announcing a fifth class: The Mechromancer.


Nothing is known about this new class except her design and her new ability where she can control a giant robot named D374-TP (also known as death trap). The bad news? This Character has yet to be put in development and will be released as post-release DLC. The good news? This character will be free to anyone who just simply pre-orders the game from any paticipating retailer or website. No pricing has been made yet for this piece of extra content but Gearbox's Randy Pitchford said it will cost as much as most DLC, which will sadly be ten dollars.

In bonus news, the developer has also announced that characters will have customizable parts including head parts and other clothing options. These items can be found by completing quests and challenges, leveling up and other means. Additionally, those who played the original Borderlands will unlock an exclusive head and skin immediately.

Finally Randy Pitchford also announced that they will have a $149.99 Special Edition of the game. They haven't announced what's in this edition other than Special Packaging, A Marcus Bobblehead and a copy of the Game.

New Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Clip Preludes Civil War

It seems like Marvel is hinting at bringing the Civil War story line to The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Hero as a new clip has been released for the second episode. In this clip Maria Hill is talking to Tony Stark about the Avengers and other heroes registering themselves to S.H.I.E.L.D. with one of those heroes being Spider-Man. Skrull Invasion and Civil War? Earth's Mightiest Heroes seems to be going in a crazy good direction.

Catch Earth's Mightiest Heroes this Sunday at 11:30 am on Disney XD for a brand new episode.

Mass Effect 3 gets a Free Multiplayer pack next week

Bioware has announced that they will be releasing a new multiplayer pack for Mass Effect 3, free of charge. The resurgence pack will brings loads of new content including characters, new races, maps, weapons and equipment.

Condor - A war zone outpost located on Palaven's moon Menae

Men In Black: Alien Crisis Release Date Announced

Fans of Men In Black will have a double treat during the fourth week of May for Activision has announced that Men In Black: Alien Crisis will be out a few days before the release date of Men In Black III in theatres.

Men In Black Alien Crisis is expected to be out on May 22 while the movie is to be out on May 25. The game puts you in the shoes of trainee agents Peter Delacoeur as you protect the Earth from weird looking aliens.

Expect to see Men In Black Alien Crisis in stores on the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. I would suggest getting it on either the PlayStation 3 or Wii so you could use the Wii Zapper and PlayStation Move Sharpshooter to shoot down aliens.

The Lee Brothers Return In The Brand New Double Dragon: Neon

Billy and Jimmy Lee are returning to the virtual world as Wayfoward Technologies has announced that they are working on Double Dragon: Neon.

The classic side-scrolling beat 'em up will continue to be a side-scrolling beat 'em up game and will have the two brothers going up against Skullmageddon in order to save Marian.

Expect to be thrown back into the 80s this July as Double Dragon: Neon comes out on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade

Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut Only Adds More Scenes

Yesterday it was announced that BioWare will be changing the ending of Mass Effect 3 through DLC, now today we were able to get more information on the changes that will take place. The add-on content will not have new gameplay, instead it is simply change the scenes to correspond with the choices you have made throughout the game.

The Extended Cut DLC will offer players a more varied experience from their game, which is what was expected to have originally. There won't be any new endings or anything, it will just have more scenes that provide more clarity for players.

If you are confused on how the DLC will be applied to your game, all you need to do is download the DLC and load up a save file before the end scenes.
