Sinestro Corps Batman skin available for Arkham City

October 9, 2011 1 comments

In an effort to sell more Green Lantern blu-rays, Warner Bros. is giving away a special code for an all new Batman skin.

When you buy a new copy of Green Lantern on Blu-ray you receive a code for the Sinestro corps costume for Batman in Arkham City for PS3 and it looks pretty cool.

So far the skin will be a PS3 exclusive item but no word has been said that a code for the 360 will appear on the regular dvd, but I'm going to use the Beyond skin anyway.

Captain America Coming To Blu-ray This October

The Blu-Ray version comes with a chalk-full of special features such as a behind the scenes interview with the cast, how skinny Steve was made, deleted scenes and much more. Check out the Captain America Blu-ray trailer below.

Ewoks Gain Eyelids In The New Star Wars Blu-Ray

September 5, 2011 0 comments

When I first saw that Star Wars was being released on Blu-Ray, I was giddy for joy and ready to throw my money at George Lucas like any other disappointed Star Wars fan. After seeing the "special" changes, I don't think I will be buying the re-re-re-enhanced versions any time soon.

There are a heavy amount of changes supposedly, but only a hand full has been released already. Let's start off with one of the worst changes in the movie. In A New Hope, Obi-Wan scared off a group of Tusken Raiders with his Krayt Dragon call while they rummaged through Luke's Landspeeder; the sound sounded awesome, it was a unique sounding call, but now, not it just sounds like a flamboyant guy  screeching with an echo.

In the same scene, more rocks have been added in front of R2-D2. The question is though, how did he get into that formation? It looks like a tight squeeze to get into.

A Dug has also been digitally added into Jabba's palace

Still dealing with Jabba's Palace, his front door has been edited to look much larger than it originally was.

In Return of the Jedi, a second "NOOO!" has been added for Darth Vader has he picks up the Emperor to throw him down a shaft.

Han Solo fans will like this one, it's been made that Han still shoots first.

Now for the grand finale, Ewoks are now given the ability to moisturize their eyes via their eyelids (they get to blink now!)

These are just a few of what Lucas has in store for his new release of Star Wars, I'll keep you guys updated once I find out more enhances.

Green Lantern Blu-Ray Gives An Arkham City Skin

August 23, 2011 0 comments

One more skin has been announced for Warner Bros. upcoming Arkham City which will be obtainable when you get a copy of Green Lantern on Blu-Ray. The skin in question is Batman's Sinestro Corps outfit, when Batman gets controlled by a yellow ring and becomes a Yellow Lantern in Blackest Night.

It seems like it's a good way to collect money that Warner Bros. didn't gain when Green Lantern was in theaters. The Yellow Lantern Batman suit will be a PS3-exclusive skin, so sorry PC and 360 owners! Warner Bros. nor Rocksteady has revealed what the skin is going to look like, but it should resemble something like the picture below.

Green Lantern will be coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 18th, the Blu-ray combo pack will contain:

  • Extended Cut
  • Theatrical Film
  • Maximum Movie Mode with Picture in Picture Pods
  • The Universe According to Green Lantern
  • Ryan Reynolds Becomes Green Lantern
  • Justice League #1 Digital Comic
  • Additional Scenes
  • Preview of Green Lantern: The Animated Series
  • DC-Live

I'm personally going to be saving up for Thor and X-Men: First Class on Blu-ray, I have yet to decide if I will get the Xavier or Charles cover for X-Men though.

[Thanks to titz for the tip!]

Assassin's Creed: Lineage On DVD and Blu-Ray

July 14, 2011 0 comments

Assassin's Creed: Lineage is a live-action film of the popular series, Assassin's Creed. Lineage serves as a prequel to Assassin's Creed II and follows Ezio's dad as an assassin. New Video is releasing a DVD and Blue-ray copy of Assassin's Creed: Lineage on November 15th. Along with the film, the animated short, Assassin's Creed: Ascendance will be included in the DVD/Blu-ray release.

I had no idea an Assassin's Creed based live action movie even existed, and coincidentally I'm in the middle of playing Assassin's Creed II for the first time, I started yesterday. If you've never seen the series like me, and you don't want to wait till this November, you are still able to watch it on Youtube.

Star Wars on Blu-Ray

May 4, 2011 0 comments

The big Star Wars news from yesterday has been announced today. As everyone pretty much expected, Lucasfilms is releasing the complete Saga on Blu-Ray on September 12 this year that will include 9 discs with the movies and special features.

Once I get enough money, I'll be forced to throw my money at Lucas. Speaking of the price, the price is suppose to be $139.99, but Amazon is selling it for $89.99 right now, saving you $50.

May The 4th Be With You

May 3, 2011 0 comments

Over at this Star Wars website, there is a countdown going on and will reach 0 tomorrow on "May The 4th Be With You" day that will lead into an announcement. No one is quite sure what the announcement is, but some people are speculating a Blu-ray 3D complete saga movie set. If this is true, then I will be a sucker and buy it, which will probably cost quite a lot for me. But hey, it might not be a movie, it might be a new game or something. Either way, we'll find out tomorrow.
