Ezio Triogy coming to PS3

First Bioware, now Ubisoft is releasing a 3-game box set featuring everyone's favorite Italian Assassin, Ezio Auditore.

Exclusive to PS3, the Ezio Trilogy will include Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations together in one box set including the two DLC packs for ACII. The Ezio Trilogy set will be released November 13th for only a mere $39.99, a pretty sweet deal for getting 3 whole games in one set.

Ubisoft Now Going After John Beiswenger

Ubisoft is no longer facing charges from author John Beiswenger, instead they are turning the tables right back at him and filing a complaint against Beiswenger.

Because Beiswenger ended the lawsuit without prejudice and was able to bring up the lawsuit again whenever he pleased, he was able to give Ubisoft the grounds to go right back at him claiming that Beiswenger's claims were "entirely meritless"

"The plaintiff in the case alleging copyright infringement by Ubisoft has dropped his claim, without settlement," states a Ubisoft representative. "Ubisoft believes this suit was frivolous and without merit, and is seeking a ruling to prevent future related claims. We are proud of our creative teams and will continue to vigorously defend the intellectual property they develop."

Ubisoft is fighting Beiswenger so he will no longer be able to try and file a complaint against Ubisoft ever again.

Ubisoft No Longer Being Sued

Last month Ubisoft was sued by author John Beiswenger claiming that the video game developers took ideas from his book Link. Now Beiswenger is dropping the lawsuit against Ubisoft.

In Link, the story is based around a "device and process whereby ancestral memories can be accessed, recalled, relived, and re-experienced by the user." (Just like Assassin's Creed's Animus device.). The similarities don't end there though, the book has assassinations and historical events in which the user experiences due to what the ancestor has been through.

It is currently unknown why the author backed down from the lawsuit, but if he wanted to he could go straight back at Insomniac with the same claims. Beiswenger's lawyer, Kelly Clements Keller states that, "My client’s decision to exercise his right to voluntarily dismiss the action, without prejudice, in no way diminishes his stalwart conviction in the merit of his claims against Ubisoft. He is unwavering in his belief that many key components of the Assassin’s Creed video game franchise infringe on many key components of his novel, Link. We believe Ubisoft has engaged in egregious acts of copyright infringement and, should he choose to seek redress through the courts in the future, we remain confident that a trier of fact would agree.”

For now Assassin's Creed III is saved and won't be cancelled.

Ubisoft Announces Assassin's Creed: The Chain

If you were a fan of the comic book adaptation of Assassins Creed: The Fall, then you'll be happy to hear that Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart are returning to make an all new book titled,  The Chain.

The book takes place after the events of The Fall series and completes the story of both Daniel Cross and his assassin ancestor, Nikolai Orelov as well as shedding some light on whats to come in Assassin's Creed III. If you have read the first series and maxed out your level in Revelation's multiplayer, you'll have an idea of where the books protagonist currently is right now. I wont spoil anything but if you want to find out, you have the internet.

Assassin's Creed IIII Announced

Another Assassin's Creed game has been announced today by Capcom.


Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed III will be out on October 30, 2012, other than that, there is no other information.

"We will push the title a lot because it's a fantastic product that the team has been working for three years," said CEO Yves Guillemot. "What we have seen is just fabulous."

Catch Up On Assassin's Creed With This Video

With the release of Assassin's Creed: Revelations in just a few more days, Ubisoft has released a video for those that need some catching up on the story that revolves around Desmond and his ancestors.

The video is a very basic summary of all three Assassin's Creed games; it doesn't go into too much detail probably because Ubisoft doesn't want to spoil the good stuff for players, that or they want people to go out and buy the game to experience it all.

New Assassins Creed to be released in 2012

Ubisoft is planning to release another Assassins Creed title next year, and it's going to be a big one. CEO Yves Guillermot confirmed the news today.

"There will be another great, full-fledged Assassin’s Creed title next year, It will be a major release and we’ll be communicating more about it in the coming months."

Early details were given in this months issue of Eurogamer stating that this next one will be the conclusion of Desmonds story. Could this be the long awaited Assassins Creed 3? We'll find out very soon.

Creative Director Alexandre Amancio commented on the recent news. "In Assassin's Creed we set up a timeline with this whole end of the world plot of December 2012. That's fast approaching, and the story we have to tell, we obviously need to do it before we arrive at that point. We have the Ezio cycle and the Altair cycle, and both of those are set to conclude in Revelations, and we have the Desmond cycle, which is set to end on December 2012. But there's many cycles within the brand – that's the whole point. History is our playground."

Ezio to appear in Soul Calibur 5?

God please let this be true. An anonymous informant has released a photo of a SC5 demo being shown at a fighting games tournament. The image shows the master assassin as a playable fighter.


While the image seems pretty convincing I'm not sure if it's entirely true considering this is something Namco bandai would try to keep secret. But if Ezio is confirmed as a playable fighter then this game will be a definite purchase for me.

Assassins Creed will continue after the end of Desmonds tale

Who else saw this coming? Straight from the get go, Ubisoft planned for the story of Desmond Miles to end in the year 2012, but it doesn't mean its the end of Assassin's Creed as a series.


In case you didn't know, The story of Desmond Miles takes place in the near future of 2012 and spans across only a couple of months with it revolving around the whole "end of the world in december 2012" Theory. Creative Director Alexandre Amacio had this to say.

"In Assassin's Creed we set up a timeline with this whole end of the world plot of December 2012. That's fast approaching, and the story we have to tell, we obviously need to do it before we arrive at that point."

Since Revelations will be out soon and only mark the end of Ezio's and Altair's story, a new Assassin's Creed (most likely III) will be released in next year, marking the end of Desmond's story, but Assassin's Creed won't.


"Assassin's Creed is all about cycles, We have the Ezio cycle and the Altair cycle, and both of those are set to conclude in Revelations, and we have the Desmond cycle, which is set to end on December 2012. But there's many cycles within the brand – that's the whole point. History is our playground."

Amancio also wanted to state that future Assassin titles won't follow a yearly release like they are now. With the end of the main story, they will have more development time for later releases.

"Our development approach is changing so our cycles aren't structured the same way – so it gives us a little bit more development time."

Assassins Creed Revelations, the Three Heroes

The Assassins creed series has managed to span across three generations within their story. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. They created a whole universe of these killing peace keepers spans through centuries fighting a silent war from an actual knightly order that dated back to the crusades.

But the series isn't about them, it's about the journey of our three protagonists Altair Ibn Al-Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and Desmond Miles. These assassins are all connected through bloodline and the mysterious apple, the piece of Eden. And the secrets of these three will be revealed in Ubisoft's next installment of Assassin's Creed Revelations.


Some new footage has been given to us showing a brief part of each Assassin's story in the game.

After the events of Brotherhood, Desmond is now in a coma and trapped within the animus. His only way to break free is to separate the memories between his and his two ancestors and put the pieces back together to fix his shattered mind.




Ezio has lived his whole life killing Templars for the good of mankind, but now he's at a turning point in his life whether this is the life he truly wants. So he travels to Masayaf to learn the secrets behind the Assassin order and learn of their origins so that he will gain some insight of his own person. That won't be easy considering Templars have just taken the fortress under control.




Very little is known about Altair's history. We've seen him turn from a cocky braggart to a well disciplined master Assassin in the first game. Now we shall learn the truth behind him as we visit his past, present and future as Ezio unlocks the secrets within.




One thing I can answer for you guys is that is still Altairs voice actor from the first game, he just changed it to a normal Syrian accent to help make it more realistic. It needs some getting used to.

All our questions (or at least most of them) will be answered in Revelations the coming November. Can't wait!

Get Revelations, Get Assassin's Creed For Free

Getting Assassin's Creed Revelations for the PlayStation 3 on the first day might be worth it if you have yet to play the first Assassin's Creed. If you are planning to get Assassin's Creed Revelations the first day it comes out, then you will be receiving a free copy of the first game. If you already have the first installment of the series, then you'll have two!

It's a great way for those who jumped straight into the games with the second Assassin's Creed to get into the series, since you really don't need to play the first one too much to get the whole Assassin's Creed storyline.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations Multiplayer Beta

For those lucky Playstation Plus and selected Playstation 3 Uplay members, the Assassin's Creed: Revelations multiplayer beta will kick off this Saturday and will go from the 3rd all the way until the 11th of September. The multiplayer is to be similiar to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's but with new modes and maps.

I don't think anything can top Assassin's Creed: Revelations first trailer, but Ubisoft tries at least with this new trailer for the next installment. This video doesn't focus it's attention on just Ezio, it also shows Altair in action.

Sony Announces Assassin's Creed, Escape Plan and Resistance: Burning Skies For The PS Vita

It looks like the first day for Gamescom is going good for those who plan to get Sony's PS Vita. So far they have announced a few games along with the Trophy Application.

Jim Ryan, Sony Europe's new CEO, has announced a new Assassin's Creed title for the PS Vita; nothing was given except that. Ryan also stated that this new Assassin's Creed is just one of six games Ubisoft is in the process of developing for the PS Vita. After that announcement, a projection turned on revealing other games that are coming for the PS Vita, whth Bioshock, Rayman Origins, Call of Duty, Dust and more.

Another game for the PS Vita was also announced during Sony's press conference - Escape Plan. Escape Plan is a monotone platformer that looks pretty depressing. The game features two weird looking characters, Lil and Large. Lil is the tiny character as Large is the bigger one. What you have to do is make your way across various traps and try to escape by any means. The game looks pretty interesting and makes use of the PSVita's front and back touch panels. The game looks pretty interesting, it has caught my attention, I'll report back to you guys once I find out more about this game. Until then, enjoy the trailer for Escape Plan.



One last game has been announced so far for Sony's new handheld, Resistance: Burning Skies. This new installment of Resistance is being developed by Nihilistic Software and is making the game a first-person shooter. The game will put you in the middle of New York City right after the events of Resistance 2. You will play the role of one of NYC's fireman, Tom Riley as you defend yourself against the invading Chimera. Catch the demo of the game right below:



That's enough for the games for now, but it isn't the end of the Vita's news. Sony has announced that the PS Vita will support the Trophy Application. You will be able to show off all your achievements to your friends with shiny virtual trophies.

Hopefully Sony will announce more things for the PS Vita, the sure did get off with a good start today. After seeing all these game announcements, I definitely can't wait to get my hands on a PS Vita.

Second Assassin's Creed comic announced.

Sorry for the two day absence, I was in San Diego...unfortunately it was NOT for comic-con.

On the last day of comic-con, Ubisoft has announced the second Assassin's Creed comic book mini-series titled: Assassin's Creed: The Chain.

The new comic starts right after the events of the last issue of "The Fall". It will still feature the main characters from the first series: Daniel Cross and his Russian Assassin ancestor, Nikolai Orelov. Even Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart: The team behind Assassin's Creed: The Fall
will return to create the new mini-series as well.



I'm pleasantly surprised to see this from Ubisoft. The Fall was really well written and had amazing art work done but what really got me hooked was the ending. Being an AC buff watching how this ties in to the video game at the end blew my mind away and made me curious what happens to Daniel, Nikolai and the Assassin order after reading it.

No official release date has been announced yet but expect it to come out as soon as Revelations comes out this November as The Fall did with last years Brotherhood.

Weird Assassin's Creed Leak

An Assassin's Creed related video has been leaked, and I'm pretty sure it's Assassin's Creed related since there's an Abstergo logo in the photo above.

I have no idea what's going on and how this is related to Assassin's Creed, maybes it's from Revelations or the newly announced Embers. Either way it's a pretty weird video and time will tell us what this is for sure.

Over at the UbiWorkshop, Ubisoft is gathering pre-orders for their upcoming Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia. You must pre-order it before September 1st to get it for $29.95 instead of $34.95.

This encyclopedia is a hardcover book with 254 pages full of information on all the characters and organizations within the world of Assassin's Creed. The book also includes:

•  A detailed look at all the stories in the Assassin's Creed universe
• Profiles of all characters
• History of the Templars and Assassins
• Covering of comic books and novels
• Facebook Legacy game, ect.
• And much more

I'm not the biggest Assassin's Creed fan, but I do want this.

Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy Morphed To Revelations

Back when the 3DS was revealed, Ubisoft had plans for creating an Assassin's Creed game for the 3DS, this game would be called Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy, but during the time from then to now, Lost Legacy was never finished.

It doesn't mean that Lost Legacy wasn't completely lost, Lost Legacy eventually made the foundation in which Assassin's Creed: Revelations is based on. Lost Legacy was turned into Revelations, but being released for consoles instead of the 3DS.

Darby McDevitt, Assassin's Creed: Revelation's head writer, said, "The story that was announced about Lost Legacy was that Ezio goes to Masyaf and investigates the holy land." In Revelations, that's what Ezio does, he heads to Masyaf at the beginning of the game.

Even though Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy is dead, it eventually helped morph Assassin's Creed: Revelations into what it is.
