Iron Man Vs Magneto In AvX:Versus

The Avengers and X-Men are going against one another in Marvel's next big thing - Avengers vs X-Men. Along with the main event, Marvel will be releasing AvX: Versus as a tie-in series that will focus on individual fights between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Mutants.

The first issue will be showcasing an extravagant fight between the Futurist, Iron Man, and the Master of Magnetism, Magneto.

Who will win this round? Iron Man or Magneto? But consider this, after Extremis was implemented, Magneto now isn't able to manipulate Iron Man's armor, so how will Marvel get around this?

The brawl between heroes will start this April with Avengers vs. X-Men #1 written by Marvel's Architects Brian Michael Bendis, Jason Aaron, Matt Fraction, Jonathan Hickman and Ed Brubaker with art done by John Romita Jr.

Sony's PlayStation Vita is close to being released and there has not been any news on the data plan for the 3G version of the handheld, until today that is.

If you plan to purchase the 3G version of the PlayStation Vita then you will need to have an AT&T data plan in order to get the full 3G experience and choose either plan from the list of two plans:

  • 250MB for $14.99 a month
  • 2GB for $25.99 a month
The PlayStation Vita 3G will cost you $299 whereas the Wi-Fi only PlayStation Vita version will only cost $249.99.

Vote For A Cheaper Price For Amy On The PSN

January 7, 2012 0 comments

The survival horror game Amy, developed by VectorCell Studios, puts a mother and her daughter in a post apocalyptic world where Lana, the mother, must protect her daughter, Amy, from ravaging infected folk.

Publisher Lexis Numérique has announced today that Amy will be coming out January 11 for the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The game will cost you 800 Microsoft Points (which equals $10) for the Xbox or you can pay $12.99 for the PS3 version.

Some people might think of the price difference unfair and they might want to do something about it, well they can. Lexis Numérique is offering gamers the chance to vote for a $10 price tag for Amy on the PS3. There is a downside for that though, if the price gets knocked down a few bucks then the game will be delayed for a week due to reprocessing through the PSN.

If you want to start voting for the price reduction, then head over to Facebook to cast your vote.

According to MCV, they have a source that says that both Sony and Microsoft will be showing off their consoles this summer at E3; not announcing, but actually showing the consoles.

If this rumor is to be true, then all three major consoles companies will be competing to show off their systems to the mass crowds of people.

Miyamoto Working On A New Title

Recovery after my surgery is so far so good, I've been keeping off my feet lately and been playing Dead Island (I'll try to get a review up and going) and re-playing Metal Gear Solid. Now that I'm doing a bit better, I'm going to start updating The Reading Gamers a little more now; oh how I have missed blogging.

The creative man behind Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda series is working on three different games, two of them being sequels and one being a brand new undisclosed title.

In an interview with Zoomin.tv, Shigeru Miyamoto explains what's going on about the retirement situation from last month. Along with that, the interview talks about how Miyamoto is working on already announced Pikmin 3 for the Wii U and Luigi's Mansion 2 for the 3DS, but that isn't all that Miyamoto is working on; there is a new title he is working on, but what it could be is a complete mystery at this time.

Mass Effect 3's Pre-Order Items Revealed

January 4, 2012 0 comments

Mass Effect 3 will be offering a handful of goodies for those willing to pre-order the N7 collectors edition of the game. However those who just get the regular copy still have something to look forward to.

Pre-order Mass Effect 3 at any participating Gamestop, Bestbuy (maybe Walmart) and Amazon.com, you'll receive the N7 warfare gear which includes the defender armor (not sure if its customizable yet), the N7 Valkyre Assault Rifle and the M55 Argus Assault Rifle. The armor and weapons can be seen in action in this trailer.

If you notice in the image above that people who pre-order from origin will also be receiving the Raider Shotgun as well. Not sure if origin is for live however, but I hope you all look forward to the Reaper Invasion as much as I am.

The Legend Of Zelda's Hylian is Now Decodable

May this be accurate or not, it is worth any fans time to give it a try. Someone over at ZeldaUniverse was supposedly able to decode the ancient language and has made it's alphabet ready for anyone's use. You can give it a try at her very own DeviantArt.

New Street Fighter X Tekken Shot accidentally reveals M. Bison & Ling Xiaoyu

January 2, 2012 0 comments

The Screenshot above looks nothing new about the upcoming fighter crossover, but if you look at the Character icons on the top you can see Street Fighter's M. Bison and Tekken's Ling Xiaoyu as ready to swap team-mates meaning these two will appear in the 360, PS3 and PC version of Street Fighter X Tekken. However there is a chance they wont appear in the Vita version (due to Cole McGrath appearing exclusively on the Vita) but nothing's set in stone yet.

The console versions are scheduled for release in early march (a delay may be possible), with the vita's version coming out later that month. Do think M. Bison is excited for his confirmation?

YES! YES!!!
