The Avengers 2 Announced

May 8, 2012 0 comments

It is no argument that The Avengers was a huge success, especially when it had a ground breaking record of obtaining $207.1 million during it's opening weekend in just North America. Because of it's huge success, the sequel to the Avengers has been announced.

During a Disney conference yesterday, CEo Bob Iger announced that Avengers 2 is currently being worked on and that it will be out sometime after Captain America 2, Thor 2 and Iron Man 3. It is not known if Joss Whedon will return to work on The Avengers but it is pretty well known that the sequel will most likely focus around Thanos, who was shown at the end of the movie.

September 20, 2011 0 comments

This years Tokyo Game Show was home to the first trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance with it's new character, Neku along with a new Disney franchise.

It doesn't seem like Kingdom Hearts hasn't completely given up on having Disney related characters in the game since it showcases a new Disney franchise, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. That's all there is that's anything Disney so far.

Expect the game to be out Spring of next year.

Tetsuya Nomura Explains Kingdom Hearts 3D Gameyplay Systems

September 16, 2011 0 comments

Game director of Square Enix Tetsuya Nomura used Twitter to explain some new gameplay systems for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS.

Free Flow Action:
These are the “flashy” actions Nomura has mentioned in the past. By pressing Y, you can make your character kick off walls, swing around poles, slide down rails, and so-forth. You can string together these actions. You can also connect into other moves — pressing A or a powerful attack, or B for a jump.
Reality Shift :
When you’re attacking enemies, objects and enemies will sometimes be highlighted with a cursor. Press X and A simultaneously, and you can perform special attacks through the lower screen.
Dual Link :
In DDD, you fight along side demons known as “Dream Eaters.” In the TGS demo, you start off with two of these in your party. As you build up a gauge, the Dream Eater’s icon will begin to flash. Tap the icon on the lower screen, and you’ll be able to do a team attack. You can also team up with both Dream Eaters simultaneously.
I really do not think that much Disney will be involved in this new installation of Kingdom Hearts, which is a shame since that's what pretty much made Kingdom Hearts good. You get new partners in this game, so it seems like they are just throwing out Donald and Goofy. I won't be getting this game anytime soon, that's for sure.

Disney Wants More

July 27, 2011 1 comments

It looks like Disney isn't done with buying out all companies possible, this time Disney wants to buy out India's fist global media and entertainment company, UTV Software Communications Ltd., since they already own 50.4% of the company's shares.

The reason that Disney is so interested in buying this company is because of the gaming part of UTV, which owns Ignition Entertainment, publisher of the Metal Slug series. A local analyst says, "Walt Disney has always been interested in most of UTV's business, especially the gaming part."He also continues by saying that the buy out will help the company expand its presence in India.

Thor 2 in 2013

Disney announced that Marvel Studios will be doing a second film for Thor. Along with the announcement of Thor 2, Iron Man 3 will have a release date aiming at May 3, 2013. Of course Chris Hemsworth will be returning to portray the God of Thunder, but Kenneth Branagh won't be returning to direct; July 26, 2013 is the planned release date for Thor 2.

We're facing many different movies based off of Marvel's creations - The Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Captain America, Wolverine, Thor 2 and Iron Man 3. I might be missing one or two, those are just from the top of my head, but either way I'm stoked for all of them.

Marvel Goes MMO

Marvel has announced their next biggest video game plan: A free to play MMO. It's all free that lets you play as any character in any Marvel event that's taken place from the 60's to now from the 616 universe. But that won't be the only universe you can explore, the Ultimate Universe will be included along with the Marvel Studio films.

You do not get to make your own character, instead you choose any character from a supposedly extreme list that tops any Marvel game. So far they have revealed Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Nova and Squirrel Girl.

The first platform to be getting this new Marvel game will be PC first with a TBA release date, then the consoles will get their releases.

People are wondering if it will be Disney like, and luckily Bendis has said that it won't be Disney like at all. The target audience are the adults.

So far, this sounds like it will be a big project, there seems to be a lot going on with the game. I'm extremely excited for this and will try to keep an eye on the progress. I might play as Squirrel Girl and unleash an army of Squirrels on Doctor Doom, I hope they'll let us do that. But for more information, take a gander here.
