The Amazing Spider-Man

I'm not talking about the comic, I'm talking about the new movie that's coming out July 3, 2012. Today the new Spider-Man movie finally got a title; The Amazing Spider-Man. Along with a title, we got this nifty picture with Andrew Garfield in a full Spidey costume. The costume reminds me of a mix between 2099 and Ultimate. The costume is different, but extremely nice and detailed. I'm definitely digging his look.

MvC3: Guitar Hero

The people at Capcom decided to do a tribute for Guitar Hero's demise by using guitar controllers to play a fighting game. I wonder how hard it was to control the characters, pretty impressive though.

Qui-Gon Back In Action

Obi-Wan's former master gets to star in his own mini series coming this May in Star Wars: Jedi – The Dark Side. This new 5 issue series takes place 20 years before Phantom Menace. Since not much is known around Qui-Gon, and that not much work has been done with him, this gives the writers the room to develop him a lot more. There will be some new characters, and some well known characters will be returning. Go ahead and take a gander at the article I posted for you, it seems like it will be an interesting comic. Dark Horse does really good jobs on their Star Wars comics.

Moon Knight's New Personas

Remember this image from a few posts ago?

Well, looks like this comic is finally explained. Let me give you a brief summary, this is how it goes: Moon Knight is moving to the West Coast - Los Angeles - since there are too many Avengers in New York. And now Moon Knight is more crazy in the head, because his multiple personality disorder now consists of Spider-Man, Wolverine and Captain America. Along with that, he has these "Avengers" meetings inside of his head.

Now this can be good, or this can be bad. Depends on how you look at it. What I want to know is that, what happens to his other personalities? Either way, I think this will be awesome. Moon Knight is a bad ass to me, and I will be getting this comic without a doubt. If you want to read more, check out this link:

Crysis 2 Trailer

Seems like Crytek did an excellent job on their next big project, I'm amazed by how well they upped the Unreal engine. And the new abilities you get, like the sliding, looks like Crytek is bringing something new to the table. If I have left over money, I'm totally adding this to my shelf. I honestly thought that Crysis 2 was to come out later on in this year, but it comes out March 22nd.

X-Men First Class Trailer

Finally, the X-Men First Class trailer has been released. It looks like it could be good, only problem I have with it is that I really dislike the cast. Some are okay, but I think they could have done better. Nonetheless, I'll be watching it when it hits theaters.

What I like is that there are some lesser known heroes, like Pixie for example. Never in a million years would I suspect her to be in a movie.  I'm still a bit skeptical, but my fingers are crossed. Maybe it will be better than I expected.

GamersGate Beating Steam?

Yeah, no. My Steam fanboyism is being unleashed on this topic, but I'm still thinking logical. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then read this here article:

Basically GamersGate, another digital copy distributor, thinks that they can beat Steam in sales. Hmmm, how many companies have said that and failed? Oh yeah, all other digital distributors.

I especially love this quote here; "many gamers out there don't like Steam and see GamersGate as a better alternative." There is no proof of that and therefore is opinionated.

Honestly, I don't think this will beat Steam, Steam has been growing strong and has many increases in sales throughout it's time. If GamersGate does beat Steam, it won't be for a long time I assume.

The Future Foundation

After the death of the Human Torch and the ending of the Fantastic Four comics, people have been wondering what will happen next. Don't worry fans, Marvel has answered your question for you. The Future Foundation - FF #1 - will be a perfect place to pick up for new readers.

And if you're a Spider-Man fan, then you'll definitely will be interested since he's no longer one of the members outside of the 4. It seems like he'll be taking over Johnny's spot in this comic.

Expect this new fantastic team to hit shelves this March.

The new costume designs are nice; totally different than the blue. But it looks like Doom is still keeping his costume with no new upgrades. Spider-Man has always done a good job filling in for the Fantastic Four or teaming up with them, too bad the other smart mouth of the Fantastic Four isn't around anymore. Both the Human Torch and Spider-Man would have great dialogue.

Point One Initiative For A Dollar

Marvel has taken a bold move and are selling comics for 1 dollar through the Point One Initiative, not all comics, but some. If you've been noticing, Marvel has been making certain titles with a '.1' Like Iron Man #500.1 for example.

Every week from February to April, Marvel will be releasing 11 titles for just a buck. And these aren't cheap little 10 paged comics, these are actual full on standard 24 paged comics. The current selection for February are:
Iron Man #500.1
Amazing Spider-Man #654.1
Wolverine #5.1

March:
Captain America #615.1
Deadpool #32.1
Hulk #30.1
Thor #620.1
Uncanny X-Force #5.1

Iron Man gave us a catch up/origin of Stark. And the other Point Ones are suppose to be the same thing. If you want to get into comics, a good time would be to start with these selections. I'm sure going to go pick myself up some of these.

Like A Boss (Galactus Edition)

A video for MvC3's boss battle is out and about, showing Galactus doing what he does best. If you watch the video, the fighting looks familiar.



When I said he looked familiar, does this spark a resemblance? The fighting with the hands and how the stage is set sure reminds me of Master Hands. Even the metal characters look like they're straight from Super Smash Bros.

Looks like he will be a touch cookie to beat though. I definitely am excited for this and can't wait until it's release next week.

Dead Space: Severed

Visceral has announced another DLC for Dead Space 2. This one takes place on the Sprawl after Dead Space: Extraction. So yes, that means you get to finally know what happens to Gabe and Lexine, but we don't know about Nate. This won't be an on-rail shooter, you'll be able to move around as much as you want.

I would for sure be getting Severed IF EA supported the PC version, but nope, they don't. So that means PC users won't get the DLC, but you console people will be able to get it. I might have to go get a copy for my PS3.

New trailers premiered today during the Super Bowl tonight. The Thor trailer adds a few new things that we have not seen.





At first I thought that they weren't going to do the Red Skull right, but I was wrong. They did pretty good on his looks.

New Moon Knight Comic

A new Moon Knight comic will be hitting shelves this May. I have a love hate relationship with Bendis, I thought he was amazing with Ultimate Spider-Man, but his work with the current Avengers is not the best. Even his Bendis Speak is starting to get to me. Let's hope that this comic will fall under his good work category.

But I love Moon Knight, his last volume was incredible and his work in the Avengers is a fun twist. So I'm excited about this and will be getting this new installment of Moon Knight.

Captain America Poster

Finally we have gotten a poster for the new Captain America movie. I think I need a new pair of pants after seeing this.

And don't forget to tune in this Sunday during the Superbowl for the trailer. It might be the only reason I'll be keeping an eye on the Superbowl. I was at first worried about the costume design, but I'm okay with this. No mask to hide his identity from his comrades, but like I said, I'm okay with this.
