Gears 3 Cole Statue

September 4, 2011 0 comments

Those who were lucky and rich enough to attend Comic-con this year could purchase a limited edition bronze statue of Agustus Cole in his Thrashball Uniform made by NECA themselves.

Now you can buy a colored edition of this statue on Amazon.com for $100. And honestly, the colored one looks way cooler. A perfect gift and collectible for any Gear Head or collector of video game memorabilia.

TIME TO GET ON THE COLE TRAIN!

If you love Gears of War and have a hundred bucks laying around, then this is just for you!

Avengers On Set Photos

While lurking around the internet, I have found a good amount of picture that involves the cast of the Avengers on set of the movie. I will say also, that Hawkeye's costume came out better than I thought, I mean look at it! It actually looks really good. The pictures also confirms a Stan Lee appearance.

14 minutes of Borderlands 2 Gameplay!

September 3, 2011 0 comments

Holy crap I have no Idea how this came up but now you can see official gameplay of Gearbox's sequel! Check it out if it's still up!

So far it looks waaay better than the already awesome first Borderlands. The animations are way more realistic and looks really nice with the Cell-Shaded art style. (Glad they kept that) and a mini map is displayed at the top corner of the HUD making it easier to navigate Pandora. The new menu display is much more detailed and even lets you see the in-game model of your character. And the environment is much more detailed, instead of just vast deserts of brown we finally see green fields, blue lakes and rivers and even snow-capped mountains.

Weapons are more unique looking and some even have special attributes. Tediore guns as he said are crap guns but can be used as grenades and even respawn after throwing. (which is very nifty) Bullets are also no longer made of sponges which means when you shoot an enemy, he'll feel it and will flinch. (As will you if you get hit by a melee attack)

Enemy AI is more advanced. Your foes can scale walls to shoot you from leveled ground and will also dodge your gunfire. They are also more varied, the Nomad, for example, will have a tiny midget chained to the front of his giant shield (LOL). You can just lob grenades at him, or if you shoot the chains and release the midget, he'll turn on his master (maybe), and while hes distracted you can flank him from the side for a brief moment.

Probably the best part is finally seeing a new class, Maya the Siren, who will probably play much like Lilith from the first (I call dibs on her co-op buddies!) Hopefully this will change the mind of certain people *cough*Andrew*cough*

Assassins Creed Revelations Beta is Live!

Have a playstation plus account? Have a Uplay Account. (on your PS3) Well now's your chance to be part of the official Assassins Creed Revelations Multiplayer Beta which is officially live NOW.

The beta will feature 4 gameplay modes:
-Deathmatch
-Wanted
-Manhunt
-Artifact Assault (CTF)

3 Maps
-Constantinople
-Knights Hospital
-Antioch

9 Playable Templars
-The Sentinel
-The Vanguard
-The Guardian
-The Vizier
-The Thespian
-The Deacon
-The Bombadier
-The Trickster
-The Champion

And unlike Brotherhoods Multiplayer, you will have access to abilities and perks right from the get-go and can customize you characters outfit completely, clothing, weapons and colors.

While the multiplayer in "Brotherhood" was just dog piling on dead bodies, hopefully this one looks promising and will fix the mistakes from before. Here's some vids showing the new modes and gameplay.

Deathmatch on Knights Hospital

Manhunt on Hospital

So far it looks okay, I just want the stealth element to be integrated a lot better than in "Brotherhood" but manhunt looks like it did before, just bum-rushing kills. Hopefully that will change when the full game is released.

Saints Row the Third Sex Appeal Slider

Volition has been telling us that the next Saints Row will feature a sex appeal slider that will change the size of your main characters private parts. Meaning bigger boobs for girls and a bigger phallus for guys. We never get to see the slider in action but now here's your chance.

I managed to find this rare footage of the new Sex appeal slider in action and I gotta say, it's quite hilarious and the crowd thinks so too. What do you think of this new feature?

Justice League #1 Review

I just finished up reading the first issue of Justice League from the new DC Universe relaunch, now I don't really know too much when it comes to DC, especially when it comes to heroes personalities. From what I know though, Batman still seems like a jerk, Green Lantern and Superman seem a bit cocky (Green Lantern being extremely cocky).

In this DC Universe, people fear the super heroes that are popping up around the world, so much that they would kill them. The comic starts with Batman chasing down an alien with helicopters gunning at both of them, until Green Lantern shows up and lends Batman a helping green hand. The alien is able to escape into the sewers where Green Lantern and Batman trails it. From there, Lantern goes head on towards the alien as he's planting what the heroes thought was a bomb. Before exploding, the alien spurs out "For Darkseid!" After shielding against the attack, Green Lantern decides that he and Batman should go over to Metropolis to see if another certain alien could be involved - Superman. Once they land where Superman is located and after Green Lantern is a bit cocky, Superman lands a powerful punch onto the space peace keeper.

I like how Geoff Johns made Green Lantern looks like some God like being just by the way he talked, but he got his ass handed to him in every instance, by Batman, the Dark Sied alien and of course Superman. I really thought Green Lantern was a nice guy, especially from the few issues of stuff I have read with him, so I don't know if they are completely changing his character or that he's really like that, either way it's funny to see him like that, even though I like Green Lantern.

Another enjoyable thing was the foreshadowing of Cyborg, Vic Stone, joining the Justice League. Of course though, he just a high school kid on a football team. Cyborg is a character I barely know anything about except for his name and that he was on the Teen Titans, so I'm pretty excited to see him in this Justice League. And the foreshadowing of Darkseid was pretty neat, it sounds like they'll be introducing him real soon.

Overall, this was a pretty good comic for someone just jumping into the DC Universe, it gives readers a fresh start. I really don't know every personality for all the characters, so I really cannot compare to how this is to any previous Justice League comics, but I do like the direction it's going towards. I really can't wait till the next issue, nor can I wait to see what the other 52 comics have in store.

Saints Row Murderbrawl!

Excited for Saints Row the Third? You should be. IGN released some exclusive new footage of one of the new mission's in the upcoming sandbox game known as Murderbrawl. Check it out.

In this mission you help your new friend Angel de la Muerte (Hulk Hogan) face his once-partner turned archenemy Killbane and let them duke it out in the ring. While they're fighting you keep Killbane's Luchadores from interrupting the brawl by your fists, lamposts and even a stuffed shark.

However, Angel gets knocked out of the ring and is swarmed by Luchadores, meaning you have to kill all those gang-bangers to keep him safe. And the only way to do it is with a chainsaw massacre. (sweetness)

Finally you settle things with Killbane yourself, with some well timed punches and quick-time events you can bring him down. Then you have two choices, Spare him and earn the new apocafist which lets you punch people into a pink mist of blood and guts, oooorr remove his mask and bring him the ultimate shame, reducing Killbane's morale and keeping his prized mask for yourself. Two very pivotal choices for the story but both benefit you. Keep reading for more info!

2 New Teasers For Street Fighter X Tekken

As the title says, today Capcom released two teasers for new characters in Street Fighter X Tekken. As the other teasers do, neither of them actually show the characters in full, but they give really heavy hints as to who they are. General assumptions are that the first teaser is Heihachi, and the second teaser is Rolento. Ya know, with all these Final Fight characters, the game is really becoming Final Fight & Street Fighter X Tekken...

Sony's Tablets Look Mighty Fine

It has been months since we have heard anything about Sony's tablets, well news has come out regarding both the Tablet S (Left) and Tablet P (Right) , they will both be released this year.

Tablet S will come in two two different models, a 16GB or a 32GB one and will be coming out this September with a starting price of $499. Tablet P, the one that looks like a DS, will be coming out later this year in November with an unknown price at the moment.

They both will be running on Android and will both have similar hardware; and since both tablets are done by Sony, they will come included with Pinball Heroes and Crash Bandicoot with more PS1 titles being planned.

Here are the specs for the Tablet P, which might be the same for Tablet S but with a different screen resolution:

  • Dual core 1GHz Tegra 2 SoC
  • Twin 5.5 inch displays (1024 x 800)
  • Dual 5MP and VGA cameras
  • HSPA+ radio
  • 3,080mAh battery
  • Full sized SD card slot
  • 4GB of internal memory
  • Micro-USB socket
  • 3.5mm headphone jack

Both tablets look really interesting, and I would absolutely love to get them. If I had to choose one though, I'd most likely go with the Tablet S, just because I fear that if I do get the Tablet P, I might break it and I want a bigger screen. I would have to wait till the price for Tablet S to drop or wait for a sale on Newegg or something.
